So, I have a character right now who is a serpent that feeds on hate, fear, misery and chaos, and whose goal it is to bring total war upon the world so that it may grow strong and murder the gods. Does that make me a bad person?

Like, the thing I mentioned about characters using the phrase retarded in an ableist context? One of the things they list for Andrew Hussie is his use of the word in the comic.

Okay. Let's look at the individual examples they link. One is said by Feferi. Feferi can be kind of a bitch. She's also from an alien culture that raises their young to be violent and kind of dickish. The other examples are from Dave. Dave is one of those guys that does everything "ironically." Could possibly be an example of that. Or, alternatively, Dave is thirteen and do many thirteen year olds understand that using the word retarded is ableist or what ableism is?

In character reasons for the use of the word. I'm probably going off topic by explaining this but no that does not mean Hussie is necessarily ableist himself. It means he's a writer and understands that not all characters are going to be perfectly nice all the time.

Now, if you do the idiot thing and use your mary sue character to express your views on your own moral system that honestly kind of sucks, then yes, you are probably a bad person. Also, if your expy is mean to the waiter and doesnt tip, you are also a bad person.

Yes but what many people do not know is that using the term Inuit as a blanket term for native arctic people is itself offensive. There are two main groups of arctic people, the Yupik and the Iñupiat (Inuit) The Yupik peoples are Eskimo but not Inuit. Quite understandably, they don’t like being called Inuit (even more so then Eskimos) because they aren’t Inuit.

People who make that mistake are worse then Hitter.

This blog is the utmost condensation of Tumblr. Every single post has the same amount of Tumblr in it as fifteen normal blogs.

I keep reading "tr***y" as "trashy".

I am not a big fan of the Tumblr social justice blogs. Mostly because it always seems like it's made by 16 year old rich kids who just discovered how privileged they are and assume that the actual marginalized groups can't do anything for themselves. It always seems so condescending to me. Also it reminds me of when I tell some white people about "driving while black", they are always outraged, meanwhile my black friends are just like "Meh".

What does "driving while black" mean?

Racial profiling by police pulling over drivers just because they are black. I Thought It Meant driving while wearing blackface.

God I hate tumblr.

I've been social justicing on and off about sexism in video games with this person on Tumblr.

To be fair, I was being a bit boneheaded. But the universe caught up with me quick-smart: the person I was arguing against, who was saying there doesn't need to be a niche for "feminist" games, was in turn a female who really didn't give a shit about all tat noise.

And when I went to post my apology for getting confrontational (I didn't get heated heated, but I think I became a bit insulting), I forgot to post it as my social justice blog - so now it's listed under my main account name.

ANYWHO, from the limited experience I've had these past few days, "social justice" is barely an important thing on Tumblr: the only SJ arguments I saw were between incredibly childish people who would pick on the smallest things in someone's argument and make wild assumptions about them based on it. It might be legitimate and a needed thing on some parts of Tumblr, but a majority of people I've seen fighting in the tag have been no more than petty children trying to find the smallest crack in an argument to paint the other in a bad light, twisting context to do so.
