Just how similar was it to The Simpsons movie?
hashtagsarestupidIt's similar to the Simpsons movie in that there is a dome over a town, which eventually goes away *.

Great. You spoiled the end of the book and The Simpsons movie.
hashtagsarestupidDeath Masks now it's onto Blood Rites in The Dresden Files
The Passage, which was wonderful but I want to rage about it
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb.Oh man, The Passage. That ending, man. That ending.
Anyway, last one I finished was Mogworld. Currently I'm reading through The Painted Man.
I guess we could go... wherever we please. One of us! One of us!
Anyway, I just finished A Dance With Dragons.
I found the ending hilariously frustrating. It kind of felt like the author just went "Hmm. This character seems a bit too happy for my liking. Let's see about that..."
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb.Yeah, it is kind of a "Hey, let's ruin this happy ending for fun and profit!" thing. That said, the next novel makes it work.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.Well I'm certainly interested enough to seek it out so I'll let you know if I agree
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb.I definitely recommend it. There's a bit of a jump forward in time, but you figure out what's going on pretty quickly. And there's no sudden cliffhangers/whatjusthappenedendings this time, either.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.Brave New World. I liked this for bringing up interesting philosophical ideas. I didn't like it for spending so long introducing characters and elements of the dystopia itself that it took until halfway through the book for the actual plot to start.
Arthurs New Baby Book. I was at work (which was at an elementary school), I had five minutes to kill and I had never seen that one before.
Also, bored.
You work with children then?
hashtagsarestupidBlood Rites of The Dresden Files,...I think I might take a break.
Good Omens. It was pretty awesome.
"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."1633 by Eric Flint et al.
The Right to Arm Bears. I really need to finish it.
You need an adult. The Hobbit: Really, I have no excuses for not finishing it yet.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked. The Selection by Kiera Cass. Reminds me of the first book from the Chemical Garden trilogy, somehow.
I don’t even know anymore.A Jeffrey Deaver double. The Bone Collector and The Coffin Dancer. M.Night's twists ain't got nothing on this guys.
Proven Guilty of The Dresden Files,...now reading Cooked by Michael Pollan.
Just finished Cooked by Michael Pollan.
- The Bible (yes, the whole thing)
- One Bullet Away
- Generation Kill
Just finished Under The Dome today, after working on it for about a month. It was decent. Kindle apparently makes it easier for me to finish doorstoppers - I do a lot of my reading while commuting or taking a lunch break, but would be hesitant to carry a physical thousand page book around with me.
