Poor Image: Flower In Her Hair

She looks like a fairy to me (I don't know if she actually is). She certainly doesn't strike me as a girl or woman whose femininity is emphasised by wearing flowers in her hair.

I have two suggestions:

• 1.1 Lydia (playing Jane)◊ from The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Lydia (1.2).
• Molly (1.3) from Wives and Daughters.

Neither really does it for me over the current. She looks feminine enough to me. Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

1.1 is a better image than the current, imho. The current seems to me like a girl is hiding behind a flowerpatch, not one that has flowers in her hair.

1.1 > current > 1.2 > 1.3

Close, but not exactly what I think.

I'm not that crazy about my suggestions either, but the current ... well, I simply don't think it's a good illustration.

I did Google Images search, and lots of them are beautiful, but mostly generic models or girls. Nothing from fiction. If anyone has better ideas, I'd be really glad.

how about a collage◊?

Eh...I'm not sure what a collage does for the page. They're all like identical images. I don't particularly like any of them.

7.1 is good.

7.3 > 7.1 > 1.1 > current > everything else (so far)

7.1 and 1.1 are better than the current, and both other images in 7 are good too.

I'm inclined to agree with Willbyr on this one.

I kinda like 7.2, though the others in the post aren't bad either. I think 7.3 has a bit of an issue with distracting elements, though.

I like 7.2 best of the ones suggested so far.

We could also consider a pic of Katerina from Gunnerkrigg Court wearing a flower headband after she's been mistaken for gay.

7.3 can be cropped down to just Marin; that's why I put it over 7.1. I'm not so much on the Kat pic, if only because it looks like it could be a decoration on her headband and not a real flower.

The trope does include artificial flowers, but I agree it's not as good as a pic with a real (or seemingly real) flower. So I'm sticking with my first choice.

Properly cut, all 7ens work for me.

I didn't recognize Marin in any of then except 7.2, but I really like 7.3 (the egg identifies the setting). Now I have "Ballad of the Wind Fish" stuck in my head.

Bump; any other thoughts?

I vote for any and all 7s.

I like 7.2 the best, I think, since she's playing the harp which is also pretty feminine.

... plus I actually recognize her as Marin. But all-in-all they're all very good.

Back today from a near two-weeks hospitalization, and I notice this trope went in Image Pickin' during my absence.

I have a proposition, although the pic I have at hand is bit low in quality: I'll try to go grab a high quality screen capture directly from the game if you're interested in the pic. This comes from a Mei Ijuuin event in Tokimeki Memorial 2.

I think 23 is actually best, 7.2 is second, and on second thought 7.1 and 7.3 are beautiful but don't represent youthful femininity. The current is good for youthfulness but it would be better to have a fairy where we can see more than her face. Looking through the examples, what about Rapunzel◊?
