Nope, but we'll need some non-Anime examples to prop that up.
Also, is this about Romance or Sex?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI don't see any reason why it should be Anime only. Media-specific tropes should have a good reason for being media-specific, and this doesn't.
As said, it would be nice to see some examples.
Good point. It does seem like a subtrope.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Well, pretty much every teenaged example in No Hugging, No Kissing would apply.
In fact, Chaste Teens could very well be considered a Teenaged subtrope of NHNK, I believe.

I think there's a meaningful distinction, but I agree that the usage stats are pretty low. Wouldn't be opposed to a merge.

Eh, I'm fine with a merge.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. My only issue with a merge is that it would eliminate Chaste Teens as the opposite of Hormone Addled Teenagers.
Which, admittedly, it isn't at the moment anyway due to being an anime-only trope. But I do think there is some value in being able to point to it and say "these tropes are perfect opposites."
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. But does this exist outside Anime?
Of course there are examples of non-Anime shows where teens have no romantic plots, but it that a trend or just a meaningless occasional aversion? This page notes the specific trend whereby Anime exclude romance to maintain the fantasy of innocence to make the girls more appealing to a specific type of viewer.
If what you're stating is the case, we need a serious name change.
The proposed expansion to other media would make it so that it's No Hugging, No Kissing, only for teens. The trope does have a purpose, though said purpose would be better applied to a trope about averting romance in a show with an Improbably Female Cast/Cast Full of Pretty Boys.
We could define it as the intersection of NHNK and heavy reminders to the audience of the characters' sexual potential (character aesthetic, plenty of mutual affection and concern, some relationships follow romantic conventions such as jerk-tsundere, beach episode and so on).
Could that be kept objective?
A blog that gets updated on a geological timescale. So, what you're saying is, basically NHNK played for fanservice?
Has this actually been answered yet?
Probably romance more often than sex, though I guess I can see the point of the distinction. You could easily portray teenagers in a relationship who don't seem to have or pursue sex despite being, well, teenagers.
The page repeatedly says that there's no romance. Also they're "not getting any attention from the opposite sex." There's no sex or romance.
So yeah, Chaste Teens seems like a specific subtrope of NHNK that is done specifically with teens to maintain their "purity" almost and ironically make the characters more appealing, while NHNK doesn't have a specific reason but normally is due to Moral Guardians or appealing to demographics that don't like romance.
I can understand keeping the Chaste Teens trope as separate, but it's going to need a rename. Chastity Appeal?
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. That implies that chastity as a whole is played as fanservice.
I throw in Celibate Teens since Chaste Teens for me looks like it's about sexual activity.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOK, one more bump. There are two contradicting ideas here - merge into No Hugging, No Kissing or keep it a subtrope and rename.
Worth making a crowner?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGo for it.
Crowner's hooked.
Could you just make this an redirct for NHNK? I like having it as the opposite of Hormone-Addled Teenager, and the name actually isn't bad. But it doesn't seem to be worth mentioning as a separate trope. Maybe just add a few lines to NHNK.
"This can be especially odd with a teenage cast, were it stands out in comparison to the way teens normally are."
Or something like that.
edit: Yeah, should be redirect. Sorry about that.

There is no such thing as an "alias". Are you thinking of a redirect.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYou forgot to include in the crowner that Chaste Teens would be turned into a subtrope. I've been told that editing the crowner option invalidates the votes that were cast for it.

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Is there a reason this trope is Anime-only? Seems like it could easily be extended to all media.
It's especially weird since it's given as the opposite as Hormone-Addled Teenager on that page, yet that's a multimedia trope.
