While we're on the subject of Kill la Kill YTPs...

On episode 8 right now and, wow, Gamagoori's English VA somehow manages to make his Shackle Regalia lines sound even more perverted. I'm impressed.
Yea, that's Patrick Seitz for ya.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. So, did someone wanna hear Ryuko DROP MAD BARS?
I'm disappointed. Not once did she reference needing to uncover the identiy of her father's killer.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.In all honesty I'm increasingly sure this is just a case of Names The Same, but I have to wonder...
Yeah, that doesn't look like her at all.

Author of The Second Coming (NGE) and The Coin (Haruhi).Erica Mendez is a master of disguise obviously
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Finished my watch of the dub, and I was very impressed. Localization kept both the spirit and the meaning of the Japanese lines, and I couldn't have asked for a better English VA for Nonnon.
Speaking of, Erica Mendez went to a con and .... she dressed as Ryuko. :D
Carrie Keranen (sp?) did the same thing with Satsuki. There's a video of it earlier in the thread.
EDIT: Actually it's just a few posts up.

There are lots of amusing things from that panel. Highlights: Mendez (Ryuko) quacking like a duck, Keranen (Satsuki) and Cabanos (Mako) doing some improv ("tea time vs. cheese time", Satsuki and Mako making pancakes, and Satsuki and Mako in line at the club), and Seitz (Gamagoori) doing a rendition of Gamagoori confessing his love to Mako.
Author of The Second Coming (NGE) and The Coin (Haruhi).I seen that panel video more than once. :D That's also the one and only time you could see the Bloopers!
"Oh look! A Titan!"
"Yup. That tasted purple."There really needs to be more Ryuko/Mako pics out there. The lack of them disappoints me.

Oh right, I forgot specify the outfit of a character in a show that hosts a bajillion outfits. She was dressed in Ryuko's delinquent jacket from episode one.
Wow, she dressed in the least common cosplay of her.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Still watching the dub on my end. I'm really liking Erica Mendez's performance. I think I actually like Ryuko better in English than in Japanese.
Carrie Keranen's Satsuki isn't impressing me quite as much, though. She's not bad by any means, but I just feel she doesn't sound stern and imposing enough.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.I like her as something of a different take on the character- I feel like her performance is plenty charismatic enough but hints at her having more weaknesses than she seems.
I sure said that!My favorite Ryuko lines from the dub were all from her battle with Nonon.
"I bet it sounds like AAAAAAAAAASS"
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.Does Kill la Kill belong in the Shonen Demographic?
The NHK Conspiracy is realIn terms of the storytelling and style it's very shounen-y but the themes of sexuality and clothing mores are kind of unusual for the demographic. Its manga is serialized in a seinen magazine.
It shoots for the seinen demographic, but it does use a lot of pastiches from shonen and shoujo demographic stories.
I sure said that!
11/10, better than the actual show.
