Robot Nazis have taken over New York and only the power of Classic Rock first person gun shooting can stop them!

Good to see the original FPS getting ready to come back into the spotlight to kick some bad guy ass. IN B 4 someone makes a comment about there being FPS games before wolfenstein.

Does it have jetpack Hitler as the final boss? If not, don't care.

I think it's a little early to tell, but considering they specifically withheld Hitler as the Final Boss from the last game so they could use him in a sequel and the fact that this one seems to have Time Travel (Or at least Alternate History. Moreso than usual, I mean.) as part of the plot it seems pretty likely that we'll finally get to kill him again. Hooray!

I play Wolfenstein games for one reason; to kill Robo-Hitler, or possibly, Cyber-Göring or Mecha-Goebbels. At least give us something.

I also noticed a lack of swastikas in that trailer. A game about shooting Nazis should have swastikas, damn it.

"Eeeeeh? See how we synced up the beginning of the vocals with the reveal of the robots? Reminding you of that show that had robots AND 'All Along The Watchtower'? Eh? EEEEEEH?"

Also is this a reboot or a sequel to Wolfenstein? RPS calls it a reboot but this would work perfectly with the Sequel Hook at the end of the former.

Edit: Oh wait, it says "reimagining" in the description. My mistake. I can guess how the decision between "reboot", "reimagining", "remake" and "sequel" was made.

Raven's nothing but a COD map pack farm now. The game's apparently developed by Machine Games, a company founded by former Starbreeze (Riddick, The Darkness) core staff.

That + Nazi robots = HYPE

I wonder how long it will stay on the shelves here this time. Wolfenstein has quite some misfortune in Germany. Not only are the swastika-ridden original versions banned (and not just put on the index), censored versions only stay for a limited time here.

ROBOT NAZIS~!

How could it be bad?

Well, if there's regenerating health I guess.

[up][up]

I've seen plenty of people who were fond of Wolfenstein '09.

Right now, my only wish for this game is that they ditch regening health. I love Wolfenstein 3D and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and the one thing that keeps me from picking up a copy of '09 is how regenerating health lets me get away with too much stupid crap without consequence. I loved playing 3D and RTCW on the harder difficulties because I had to be hella-efficient to survive them.

Anyway, I hope this one is difficult. smile

The best thing about 2009's Wolfenstein was the limerick review Yahtzee did of it.

(Disclaimer, don't actually care about the series. But the review really was awesome.)

If New Order has a class based multiplayer mode as good as Return To Castle Wolfenstien did (AKA the standalone game "Enemy Territory") then I'd be more than willing to get this.

If you could do half of the ridiculously terrible war crimes to the Nazis here as I saw in an Wolfenstein(2009) LP, I'll give it a shot. So long as the game isn't as serious as it seems here given the silly premise the series usually has.
