The trope You Sexy Beast is "vampires, werewolves, and the like are sexy". The page image doesn't show any of the sexy; it's one of those evolution-of-man collages that ends in a furry. That's not this trope.

I agree. This should be easy to find an image for. Female vampires usually look sexy.

Maybe a bit too parodic, but I think this is great.

[up][up] I dunno... I think it might be slightly more difficult than you think. For an ideal picture, it should feature the normal human being attracted to the supernatural creature and in order to differentiate it from tropes like Vampires Are Sex Gods, s/he has to be the one taking the initiative.

I don't think Vampires Are Sex Gods has a good picture (but I guess that's not relevant here) and VASG says that it's a subtrope of You Sexy Beast so a picture of a sexy vampire would technically work on both.

Even if we don't find a replacement we should pull the current. Anyone else for that?

Defintely pull even if we don't find a replacement, the current doesn't demonstrate the trope at all.

This, maybe?

I'm not seeing the problem. Yes, it's a parody of the Evolution of Man progression, but it's clearly labeled The Evolution of the Hero and it ends with a werewolf. A slightly larger size would help.

[up] The problem, AFAICS, is that it relies on the caption to make it work for the page.

@Maddy: the problem is that the evolutionary chart shows a hero, not someone sexy. The trope is about sex appeal, not heroism.

I like the picture in #7.

I think #7 is decent though it could still be improved upon. It shows the guy's sex appeal in relation to the viewer. However, it doesn't really show that she wants him/is attracted to him. For instance, it would have been better if it was the woman who was on top.

Some other options: 1, 2 (probably too risque for a page pic but good for Image Links)

Neither of those look like a werewolf. They both look like normal, albeit larger than normal, wolves.

13.1 looks like a wolf to me, 13.2 has the red eyes going for it.

The red eyes aren't enough to overcome the fact that it looks just like a wolf, sitting in a normal wolf position.

[up] Ummm...I get the argument for 13.2, but 13.1 is clearly not just a big wolf. Look at the arms and what's visible of the torso...very hominid in form; it's only the legs and head that are fully lupine.

I didn't realize that this thread had been locked until I was going through the morgue...that is really annoying. Alright, if we can't find a suitable replacement, I'm all for cutting the current for not demonstrating the trope.

13.1 seems the best to me so far.

I would like to suggest this, though.

I was wondering why this was closed too. 13.1 looks like the best so far. His pose and expression suggests sexy man-wolf. The woman and the background could use some improvement.

[up] Then contact the artist and ask him/her to improve it. :)

I assume we're sticking to werewolves here, although the trope is broader than that, since they don't look human, so it's the easiest to show visually?

Werewolves just seemed to fit the "beast" part best, at least when I was first searching. That said, I really like 19...it's funny, avoids any potential NSFW-ness, and still fits the trope.

Any aggressive, inhuman character would work if the picture makes it clear that he's meant to be sexy.

Well, we don't have to. If you can find I don't know a sexy headless horseman or something...

I really like 19, too (obviously). My only concern is that it isn't obvious that he used to be a beast, which I think is assuaged by the text.
