It makes some sense. Saban Brand's one of may subsidiary of Saban's investment groups. Guessing Haim Saban's moving out of media (Except those made by Saban Films).
Thank you for our childhoods.
That was Saban Entertainment Group, which was a different entity (precursor) to Saban Brands. Saban Brands was created in 2010. There's a ton of Corporations Saban Capital Group owns, like Saban Real Estate, Saban Film, and Saban Brands

RIP Glitter Force
Mileena MadnessHadn't Toei yanked the license for that after Doki Doki bombed?
"Yup. That tasted purple."You know next month is the 25th anniversary of the official start of the Power Rangers. Also I wonder what Japanese fans as a whole thinks of the Americanized version of Super Sentai. I mean do they find it insulting or do they find it interesting to say the least. I mean they too put a spin on American property as well.
IIRC, In Space or Lost Galaxy was rated well over in Japan when it was brought over.
They actually liked it over their sentai versions.
Mileena MadnessSome of them. The ones that tend to be the most popular were the ones that deviated the most from the source material.
I think it was proof that the whole PR/Sentai rivalry was silly. You get two versions of the same show.
Eh, the shows were different enough overall to have a rivalry.
The plot points got heavily changed in many ways, like Lord Zedd existing alone, as he's not in the Japanese version. They're effectively different shows as is, so it makes sense they get viewed differently by fans.
That "The Japanese loved Lost Galaxy over Gingaman" is a huge lie. Power Rangers is niche in Japan.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. The most popular, well, two of the most popular, were Power Rangers in Space and Power Rangers RPM. In both cases the guys making the show were told it would be the last season so they decided "Fuck it! We're going for broke! Do whatever we want!" That's why those two season were both popular and so different from the Sentai.

Actually, that's not necessarily a strong argument. One season can be more popular than another Super Sentai season. Being niche as a series doesn't mean a single US season can't break out a bit.
We kind of need more data than "it's niche", as that doesn't really prove it so much as make us question it. I also question that so-called claim, but that's because the lack of a source moreso.
Yes, but the rumor was it OUTDID Gingaman in Ratings. Not just "They liked it better than Gingaman".
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I recall the twitch viewers being good when LG was playing compared to RPM.
Mileena MadnessSo what happens to all those Saban shows on Netflix? Will they still be streaming them all, or will the new owners have to work out a whole new streaming deal?
Yeah, In Space embraces a lot the "Let's just re-do standalone episodes from the Sentai", with later seasons progressing more with "Let's mostly re-do the sentai metaplot with a few changes" starting with Lightspeed Rescue.

Which is really funny because at points Megaranger feels like a redo of the MMPR “teenagers with attitude” concept. That and a liberal dose of The Last Starfighter.
Now I'm just looking forward to how little sense "Gingaman in space" could make!
Lost Galaxy isn't the most sensical of seasons, but's it's amazingly not too bad. It does get funny by how huge Terra Venture has to be, especially when seen from the outside (like, it has a sea? and mountains? and several forests. And I mean forests, not "This is a wood adjacent to a city").
It's like they just plopped random parts of Earth on the ship including a random cave with the LOR.

Mileena Madness@Bag Of Magic Food:Really? Is that so? I hope the original stuff with Astronema and so on kept you watching.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. For me, the most nonsensical part of Lost Galaxy was how Leo and Maya being stowaways was ignored or how Mike kept his job after being dead.
And isn't Karone supposed to be really famous after In Space? How did no one on Terra Venture recognise a woman who once held an entire city hostage?

How many people know that she and Astronema were the same person?
"Yup. That tasted purple."Well I'd imagine anyone that was in Angel Grove. Trakeena also knew she was Astronema.
We don't really get any implications where most of the people come from who were given the various tickets. Other than Bulk, Skull, and the Professor, that is. So that's... 2 people at best. And they likely already knew she turned good too. It's also possible it's just another issue with the writing. The show did have its own issues as is, which is part of why the Lights Of Orion arc was very long. Likewise, they needed a very quick way to replace Kendrix. It seemed more like a fun idea that wasn't entirely thought out. That, and it looked like it was only something somewhat famous that Angel Grove and few bad guys even knew. It clearly wasn't that much of a notable thing in itself.
Mike is a verrrrrrry good point. Though I'm guessing he was declared MIA, with his brother temporarily taking his spot(which seems to be what the show implied, though not outright stated) to some degree.
We also did see that Terra Venture can't just stop for anyone as is, which might explain Maya. But that's another case of not thinking it through. As it doesn't acknowledge the issue. Of course, we couldn't have a show without her as well. So...

Whatever anyone opinions' of Saban's runs of Power Rangers, one can't deny that without them, Tokusatsu wouldn't have been prevalent among Americans, even with Godzilla.
Thank you for our childhoods.
