The boltor is not a bad piece of kit. Drill enemies in the face and they topple easily. A full mag is chewing up heavy or special enemies.

so,. I just got started on this game. Fun so far. I prefer the pistol on the base Excalibur frame to the assault rifle so far.

As you advance your options will open more as to weapons you can buy and build.

Lato is a pretty good pistol all around. But yeah, there are options after that.

Also, I must say it's pretty funny to go against bosses and read them taunt the "Lampshade Space Ninja" clan. I hope we can get a motto somewhere in the dojo, I'd make something like "Tropes are mightier than the sword".

And I rejoined with my Rhino frame now that I have a Thrakk helmet. The helmet looks awesome, but the health isn't really worth the speed IMO. But that may be related to my modding that turned my frame into a walking slab of meat, even without Iron Skin. Tho Iron Skin is still great for that anti-crow control effect.

I have that mod that extends duration of all Warframe abilities, but since I play Excalibur, I don't have use for it. I'll wait for a different warframe first.

Also, even as my flatmate bitches about Boltor being useless (hey, looking at the mods I'm seeing that it's more suitable for modding than the pistol version), I see that with the +40% rate of fire mod it tears everything up pretty fast. Especially when they get close. For sniping, I still use my Lex (fitted with +mag capacity, +ROF and +reload speed mods).

I had the poor luck to bring down the Stalker on some teammates who apparently had just started the game. Lots of "What the hell was that?" after the carnage was over. tongue

My last meeting with him was weird. He spawned next to me, and I was invisible because of my shade. After killing some infested, he stood there for a couple of second, and right before I bash him with Iron Skin on, he disappears in a puff of black smoke.

A bit later, I receive the message that says he died. I was confused, but hey, at least he died.

Oh god, fuck the Infected. Those poison cloud guys have a jillion health and bypass your shields with passive poison pain. I did the Infected level on Mercury with one other person and it was a horrid experience.

Couple of things to do with infested: Bring fire. That'll help you a fair bit.

Then, don't aim for their bodymass, aim for their limbs if possible, especially the Ancient's right knee (those poison assholes).

Don't get gang banged, and if possible don't go alone at all. That'll just be an awful experience. Jump on a crate if needed to avoid a swarm of infested.

Move through the mission as quickly as possible, infested respawn quickly and sticking around might spell your doom.

In case you're surrounded as Excal - make sure you're not aiming at a wall and just mash 1 as fast as you can. When you trigger it, you'll dash from the gangbang like a bat outta hell.

[up][up] You can have mods that will add elemental damage to your weapon: fire, ice, electricity and uh, armor piercing. And venom I guess with the right frame.

You need to find those mods first tho.

Also, heads up everyone: potato alert going on. (Eris, Histo)

[up][up]I made a dumby decision and picked Mag. So I can pull the enemies that do combat damage close into combat with me. Joy.

Losing all mastery progress would be pretty awful. I imagine there would be a monitor shaped crack in the wall following that.

Okay, not really. I vented all my stuff-destroying rage over Dark Souls already. It would still be annoying.

I discovered that it's actually kind of easy to get Alloy Plate on defense missions on Venus. All you gotta do is start the mission, smash every crate in sight, and then complete five waves. I figure on average you might get around 30 AP on a mission — it's not staggering amounts, but it's more or less guaranteed.

How exactly do you figure out your level range? I can't ever tell if I'm within the right range for a mission until I'm actually in it. I don't want to try to join a mission on Sedna or Eris and drag the team down.
