Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules (in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

playing FF 7 so i checked out Final Fantasy VII
you know a work page is old when you see a bunch of zero-context examples & the remains of nattery gushing
hail, holy queen of the sea, you're whirling-in-rags, you're vast and you're sadThe new 'Support TV Tropes' ad consists of a robot browsing VideoExamples.Killer Robot, and I just cant..., thats quite an impressive Photoshop if it is one.
"T'u gadapmagazin imhat pimushikimp'alha. K'animhat t'u k'ak'ujvn kimkap'akilteĭmvmpüca."I only just noticed the robot hand lol
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderYeah, I've been looking up Torchwood on TV Tropes and I've encountered that exact same issue.
Those pages give me guilt as I never have time to fix them.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhen I'm crosswicking I run into pages like that a lot, where I know it would take a lot of time that I don't have to even start fixing everything that's wrong with them.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Advertising sections and subpages tend to to be full of outdated writing styles and complaining cuz I guess nobody ever looks at them to fix them but me.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I just spam "Random Media" until I find something I can fix. I used to tackle larger pages but they take a lot out of me, since I try to fix everything at once.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'm generally not interested in "looking for" things to fix, my To-Do list is already over 500 rows long, which keeps getting longer as I look up media I watch anyway.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupMy to-do list is kind of worthless since I just type gibberish and never check it.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessMy theory is that since advertising examples (usually) don't have their own pages, there's a lack of centralization that leaves it disorganized. (Just a guess, though...)
back lolSometimes when I'm crosswicking, I'll comment out a bunch of zero-context examples. My most thorough spree was on Silverwing.
Ironically, the literally only mention of it I could find in Google is this website again.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupBit more searching leads to this page, which I read years ago and took the term "argenfargle" from.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAs silly as the term is, I could get behind making it the term for Main/ items in general (even if it's in a tongue-in-cheek way) due to how often references to YMMV and Trivia items as tropes lead to corrections about those not being tropes, even if the original intention behind that usage of the word "trope" was just to use it as a shorthand for Main/ items even for ones that are technically Not a Trope.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I think it could be mentioned at TV Tropes Glossary, though I can't say I'm sure what it means.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAn interesting note on pages of a certain age being total messes: Life on Mars (2006) has a lot of the “Wild West” hallmarks, but the page for its Sequel Series Ashes to Ashes (2008) is much better, despite being made only two years later and presumably being edited by the same people who watched the previous show.
TIL tvtropes can appear in that Google news scroll thing
Welcome to Ideal's WorldLove the dead space after the title. Like they can't have any sort of preview text?
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIt seems to work well for actual news articles.
Welcome to Corneria!Yeah, but I think if I scrolled past something just called "Earthly Tortoise" I'd be confused, not curious
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI've seen it show up on my Google feed occasionally.
Hey, it's my trope!!!
Oo oo ah ahBecause it's the newest one :)

Luckily enough the example also says the Final Boss is "Weaker than most examples" which pretty much seals the deal.
