I too got the "temporarily unavailable" message for about 3 hours. Also, the site seems to be moving slowly now that it's back. If I didn't know better, I'd say it was a server-side issue.

Guys, I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet - it might be DDOS, it might just be a borked database server.
What happened, I think, was that Eddie was adding the captcha and e-mail requirement for new accounts. Or tweaking it. Or something.

I'm getting errors when I try to edit my own post. It's like it's tying my account to an IP address or something, so I can't edit my own posts when I'm logged on a different computer. It's not a major issue, but it's annoying.

Yes, because I'm doing it from the same machine I posted it from. When I try to do it on another machine, it says
"Yeah, that's not going to work. At least we now know that Dr Tentacles likes to try to edit other people's posts. That's good to know."
EDIT: Yeah, that seemed to work. Did that happen before this, or is that a recent change?

still isn't working right. It seems that crowners made during the outage are glitched. Must we delete the crowner and start over?

It's kind of glitched for me, since it says I voted on one option (Sonic and Knuckles). I certainly didn't do anything like that (never played too much Sonic).
