We now appear to be back again.
... Hopefully that isn't the kiss of death.
Well, this one was 2-3 hours long on my end.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI too got the "temporarily unavailable" message for about 3 hours. Also, the site seems to be moving slowly now that it's back. If I didn't know better, I'd say it was a server-side issue.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. It might be time for us to look into getting some Cloudflare network protection.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! What just happened?
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.DDoS Part 2: Electric Boogaloo
Guys, I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet - it might be DDOS, it might just be a borked database server.
What happened, I think, was that Eddie was adding the captcha and e-mail requirement for new accounts. Or tweaking it. Or something.

I'm inclined to say the latter, unless there's a nasty sort of DDOS that passes through anti-DOS software...

I now go by Graf von Tirol.Just more DDoS dramarama. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyHmmm. Confounded DDOS attacks. Time to get Cloudflare rolling, or improve the anti-flood defenses :V
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I noticed that outage again too. Hopefully this website is back again.
I'm getting errors when I try to edit my own post. It's like it's tying my account to an IP address or something, so I can't edit my own posts when I'm logged on a different computer. It's not a major issue, but it's annoying.
Test EDIT

Can you edit the post above?
The case of the letters in your handle have to match the case in use when the post was authored. DR vs Dr, maybe?

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyYes, because I'm doing it from the same machine I posted it from. When I try to do it on another machine, it says
"Yeah, that's not going to work. At least we now know that Dr Tentacles likes to try to edit other people's posts. That's good to know."
EDIT: Yeah, that seemed to work. Did that happen before this, or is that a recent change?

See above. Ninja'd my edit.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyThis is why I back-up the tropes I made... Sort of. We have a reason why this one happened?
This crowner still isn't working right. It seems that crowners made during the outage are glitched. Must we delete the crowner and start over?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. It's working for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHave you checked the counting?
+5 (yeas:8 nays:1) Sonic Adventure 2
+3 (yeas:7 nays:0) Sonic Generations
-1 (yeas:3 nays:2) Sonic Unleashed
Nah, you're not stupid. :)

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Ah, the counting. Stupid me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's kind of glitched for me, since it says I voted on one option (Sonic and Knuckles). I certainly didn't do anything like that (never played too much Sonic).
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundIf all else fails, I could just make a new crowner and just leave the old glitched one by the wayside.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.
Goddamn stutter...
I now go by Graf von Tirol.
