Evil Eye has three existing meanings off-wiki:
- A curse ("the Evil Eye")
- A glare ("giving someone the evil eye")
- The literal interpretation of evil-looking eyes.
and on its own example list, and is being renamed.
Next round of roll-call: the new name. As before, we'll be taking votes for a minimum of 72 hours. The options:

- Magically Empowered Eye
- Enchanting Eye
- Occular Magic
- Occular Casting
- Cast From Eyeball

Posted up a header and will tally votes there tomorrow night. I do see justification for putting "the Evil Eye" (i.e. the curse) at this name, so we'll definitely vote on that after we know whether or not this trope is staying at this name.

I still don't understand why a few hundred inbounds are such a big deal. I would've prefered some proportionality-based approach where the number of inbounds is weighed against the severity of the problem(s).

Since misuse for the standard meaning of the term is a big part of the problem here...we have plenty of examples for the new trope already. The only thing we're missing is a description. It would seem like quite a waste to just throw away all those perfectly good examples of the trope that should have this name.
We could stash them in a sandbox till we're ready to deal with them, I suppose.

I was thinking about a roll-call vote as well. Given that I talked to the other mods and they don't object, let's go ahead with it.
Voting will remain open for 72 hours unless (and I think this is unlikely) we're really close to the 2:1 line at that point. I will tally at ~36 hours and again at 72 hours.
