I think it fits the trope fine.
Eldtritch Abomination requires a bit more than "monster".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAll of the Eldritch Abomination subpages are just pictures of scary-looking monsters. Tabletop Games and Webcomics are both just gross-looking squid monsters.
It's hard to picture what makes an eldritch abomination an eldritch abomination. It has to convey a sense of being outside our normal perspective. At least for me (I've never read Gunnerkrigg Court), the Coyote picture adequately conveys a sense of wrongness by having a variety of visual styles and materials both visceral and ephemeral mashed together. It's also contrasted with a natural coyote, showing how otherwordly it is.
By the way, that image really makes me want to read Gunnerkrigg Court.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Same to all that.
I must be cruel, but to be kind That bad may begin, and worse be left behindI highly recommend Gunnerkrigg. [/off-topic]
I'm good with either the Coyote pic or the current, although I lean slightly toward the current.
I definitely say Coyote.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I will also throw in my support for 22. It's a good deal easier to see than the current.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Welp, Coyote wins. Should I just go ahead and put him up?
I'm too old to be cute dammitCan't think of a reason not to.
What about a caption? His first line on that page, or perhaps one of his self-introductory lines?

I'm too old to be cute dammit"And that's one of his more normal forms!"
or perhaps
"And that's not even his true form."

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Eh... does Coyote have a 'true form'? More importantly, though, we don't want to contribute to misuse of the page by implying that a bizarre form is the real measure of abominability.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableAnd it's a partial measure of eldritchity; freakiness in EA terms tends to scale with power. The stronger the abomination, the more bizarre they tend to look.
This isn't perfect, though. One of my characters, an abomination through and through, being composed of several dead universes, basically looks like a differently-dressed Slender Man with gigantic hands. And a Battle Aura of randomized reality, but eh.

I'm too old to be cute dammitNo, I thought of that. There's no reason I can think of to assume that the appearance he takes ethereally is any more 'true' than any of his physical manifestations. That's kind of the point (...or rather one of them) of his entire speech about not existing.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWell, I caption'd it anyway. That statement seems accurate.
I'm too old to be cute dammitWhat the caption suggests is not that if he looked freakier he would be more powerful, but that it would make him a better abomination. This is misleading and contributes to misuse.
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeableto the caption.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any Coyote quotes that would work here. This makes me sadface.
EDIT: I changed the caption, and pointed out that he, along with Ungoliant, codify the trope. They really kinda are the AA standard.

I'm too old to be cute dammitChained sinkholes are never a good idea. I struck it.
The clock's up; let's just run without a caption for now. Locking up.
Opposing that, since it again looks like a monster.
