Well, I'm not sure how tropable this concept is but it's doing terribly at the moment. Specifically:

Faux Interracial Relationship found in: 3 articles, excluding discussions.

Since January 1, 2012 this article has brought 40 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.

I'm not sure what to make of the weirdly high number of inbounds, but being linked to in three articles (all of which are indexes) does not a healthy trope make, never mind that there are only 9 examples on the page itself. This one needs help.

Inbound sources. Not particularly helpful. YKTTW archive. Also not particularly helpful.

The first step would be crosswicking, but that'd only lead to ~6 work wicks anyway. I'm happy to take it through YKTTW to gather examples and crosswick them as they are given. Not sure what else there is that we can do; it looks like a valid trope to me, so I would oppose cutlisting.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

This trope was launched in August 2012.

If it's a Dead Horse Trope, I would not be surprised if it gets few examples.

It looks like a valid but rare trope to me.

Might help to not write it as Example as a Thesis. Or just add a proper description first. I don't think the name is bad.

Edit: I'm not really sure about it (mainly because it starts off describing "not this trope"), but adding something like this could work:

Interracial relationships happens all the time in fiction. For various reasons, they're not always wanted, no matter how much the people involved love each other, because the differences in cultures may lead to arguments further down the road, in particular from the families and their expectations of the couple.

And then there's this trope. Sometimes the supposed interracial relationship wasn't actually interracial. The characters just believed that for various reasons. This neatly solves the problematic aspects of clashing cultures, but also sends the message that different cultures shouldn't mix.

Cleaned up the description. Took out all the pointless spoiler tags in the examples, too.

Then I think we've done what we can here, now. Is it on the Pages That Need Examples list?

I assume you meant Tropes Needing Examples and Pages Needing Wicks, to which it's now added.

Yes, those are the ones I was thinking of. I didn't recall the names.

Thank you. Locking it up.
