The biggest challenge to my faith is that God hasn't come down from the clouds and told this kind of morons, "Knock it the fuck off".

I dunno, if he was going to smite her he could have chosen worse methods than having her rudeness go viral online.

Why? Just why?

WHY?

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."

@0dd1: divulging personal information about your customers in such a manner simply is not acceptable. Selfrighteous smartarse or not.

[up] It sounds more a case of "look, this is hilariously bad!" as opposed to "look at this awful person!" So more smartass and less self-righteous.

That said, I don't think firing her right away is the best option, given that we're talking about it now.

On that note, "Big "WHY?!"" needs to be a trope.

They have a diet menu, under 550 calories. I live in Northwest Indiana and the nearest one is in Illinois.Another diet menu, Weight Watchers endorsed.

[up] ...

A sorloin steak, under 550 cal (2300 kJ)? That's around 130 g of meat, and that is assuming 1) there's no fat and all protein and 2) it's just the steak.

I call bull.

The self-righteousness smart arse in this scenario was the pastor for writing such a note in case I wasn't being clear. But uploading the receipt to reddit simply isn't on.

Yeah, keeping the name in there was an error in judgement, but she most likely didn't even consider that, just that people would probably get a laugh out of the note.

Ira: What pastry? Potatoes aren't calorie-heavy unless you add lots of butter or sauce, neither are mushrooms or spinach, or onions. And the "creamed" part of the spinach could well be sour cream or yogurt, rather than heavy cream, but either way, there won't be more than a tablespoon or so in a serving.

18% gratuity is a good tip for US restaurants. What's considered acceptable is 15-20%.

I usually just go for 20%, sometimes more, almost never less. I figure that since they depend upon tips for their living, better to actually let them live and pay their bills, no matter how good or bad of a server the person is.

@ Mad: Ok, misspoke. Thought all that pasta is "pastry". But my point still stands (pretty much what you said in the rest of you post): there's only around 135 g of food in that (carbs have the same energy content as protein) and unless the plate's very small I'm calling bull.
