Looks dead to me. Nothing to indicate he's actually alive or coming back from the dead.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenThat didn't get any bites in the last thread, either.
All blue caption yuck.
New theme music also a boxNope.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It's a robot. Robots don't die. It's not really even broken all that much, it's just missing an arm and helmet-spike.
Robots do die, on occasion. Depends on the 'verse. That needs to be clear, though, which it isn't.
Check out my fanfiction!Yeah, I am afraid I need to agree with the chorus - the suggestion doesn't really work.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'll go for it for the humor value and lack of anything better.
That combo works for me.
Considering the trouble of any kind of serious example, that works. And it does sort of illustrate the trope.
Check out my fanfiction! That looks far more like the trope (funny aspect aside). Put it up.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWould it be confused with Not Quite Dead? If not, I'm good with it.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I feel Not Quite Dead is a lot more stealthy.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOP's image doesn't work. If it was from X1, Zero did essentially die, he just got put back together again in X2. If it was from X5, Zero did die from that too, but they put him back together again for X6.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.One or two more votes for the coffin pic/caption and we can run with it.
In that case, I'll add a vote. It looks good, and illustrates the trope well.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Done, potholed, and tagged. I'm not marking the caption as being selected, but I wouldn't worry with it unless you've got a good idea for a replacement. Locking up.
Attempt #2 at getting a pic for this, also could use pics on Staying Alive and No One Should Survive That! to help distinguish them.
