> I mean the pronunciation is fucked but his design gels really well with Stevonnie's design.
Probably intentionally so, since from his preservative its why they are perfect match
New theme music also a boxRonaldo always rubbed me the wrong way just by him being a conspiracy theorist. I despise conspiracy theorists of any kind. I mean, I'll give Ronaldo this, he ain't Alex Jones yelling until he's blue and purple in the face about tap water turning frogs gay, but he ain't that much better.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Here's why Ronaldo's a shit in this episode. He wants to join the Crystal Gems, theoretically, to learn more about them because his perceptions were wrong. But he spends no actual time learning anything. He just walks into the house and assumes that he knows more about being a Crystal Gem than Steve, an actual Crystal Gem, or the other Crystal Gems, who are thousands of years old.
Also he seems to seriously think that his plastic toy is an actual weapon that could harm anyone, anywhere, ever.
My various fanfics. My mind immediately gets reminded of this.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I'm going to change the subject a second (I hope nobody minds!)
Since they seem to like High School AU in their promotional art,I was wondering if they were ever going to have an episode that focused on his education outside of typical gem stuff,he's clearly had some education because he's literate
New theme music also a boxThat was a fun comic.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI wish Estelle had done something musical recently, maybe she could have presented at the Grammys and done a Steven Universe shout out.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.https://www.reddit.com/r/stevenuniverse/comments/5wbczk/what_if_the_zoomans_are_descendants_of_those_who/ <— The thread
So based off the similarities between how the zoomans and the suits of amour are standing someone on Reddit has suggested that the Zoomans are descendants of the people who once wore the amour of 'The Fallen'
It's an interesting idea

New theme music also a boxBased on prior knowledge and this theory...
Randomness can only conclude that...the zoo humans are descents of the gem shards that made the armor active in the first place.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I think those fallen are the suit armos of Rose previous lover or human friend.
why I said that? because when Pearl sang "is over, isnt it?" she said there was many men that come and gone which make thing that greg wasnt the first men Rose met, just the one who finally won her heart.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Just caught up. I didn't hate the episode so much as find it dull and pointless, but Ronaldo was definitely acting like a huge spoiled brat, and I did get undertones of that being a mockery of entitled Fan Dumb trying to push the creators around for not pandering to their personal headcanons.
One of the posts from that Reddit Thread:
Bubble...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. There's a decent chance those armors did belonged to humans, if only because gems seem to forgo armor in favor of innate resilience (unless it's part of their weapon like Jasper's helmet).
But if they belong to humans abducted by Homeworld... how did Rose get them back? Their armor wouldn't have been removed until they reached the assimilation bay in the Zoo. If they were out of combat when they were abducted, why did so many of the happen to be warriors?

Sure, bubbled is the most likely answer, but who's to say the isn't a stray shard or two nonetheless?
Also, I think the zoo was BEFORE the war started, I feel Rose was in charge, them he knew humans and fell in love with them and their ways, otherwise the timeline dosent make sense.

Rocknaldo is now below Say Uncle.
Fans dislike episode calling out fans of show.
To be fair, Ronaldo's actions can been as saying either 1. No True Scotsman fallacy is in full effect, or far more disturbingly 2. Straight white men shouldn't be watching this show because it's not for them.
I'm just baffled at the hate this episode has received, and I feel like people are just knee-jerk hating this episode unfairly with no real justification solely because the focus character is Ronaldo, and ignoring the substantial character development Ronaldo received in this episode in favor of just mindlessly hating him because he's their personal Hate Sink.
No, it's "don't alienate others in your group by acting like they don't belong". It's more calling out the type of people who act like the adult men who watch My Little Pony and drive away little girls from the show.

Why do people keep bringing up "straight white men"? Nothing Ronaldo did is specific to those groups.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.There's transgender people who are jackasses to non-binary people based on some arbitrary 'rules', maybe Ronaldo is representative of them. Human who tries to become a Gem acts like someone who is neither Human nor Gem isn't a 'real' Gem.

There's that feeling about "co-opting" a show or a fandom that this episode seems to want to address. Namely the fear that hardcore fans will enter a fandom and decide you can only like the show a certain way. Or even worse, that in co-opting the fandom, the original meaning of the work, the goal of the work is lost.
SU's writers have been very loud and adamant about the show being feminist, pro-LBGTQ+, to the point where they've been openly hostile to anything trying to subvert the message (Maybe this was a fake, but there's a Tumblr post showing a tweet from a SU writer saying anyone who bought up the topic of male gems would be told to watch Avengers Assemble instead: i.e. This show is not for you).
So Ronaldo comes in as the embodiment of that fear, the brony, the hardcore Trekkie, the NSFW artist, the arbiter of who is and isn't a true fan because they didn't watch or read Supplemental Material X, the guy who fills the internet with his headcanons that are THE LAAAAAWWW or else face banishment if you disagree (nevermind the amount of hardcore fans that bash on "fandom straights" SU fans that crossed into the Voltron fandom, because everyone has to be gay and trans or you're a bigot). He is the the loud warning saying "Beware of this man for he will take over and subvert all we stand for".
And people are so not having it.
@Onion: He's probably in my top 3 civilians, with Mystery Girl and Nanafue. His most recent focus episode is one of my favorite Beach City episodes too.
@Ronaldo: He just rubs me the wrong way, and he always has. This newest episode just reminds me of straight people who hang out with LGBT people as an ally, but then start questioning people's sexualities and acting holier than thou. Plus I hate when people talk about how much of a cool loner they are.
