Yeah, I don't get it either.
I must be cruel, but to be kind That bad may begin, and worse be left behindDoesn't illustrate, may be JAFAAC but barely makes sense even with the caption, hard to make out...
Motion to pull
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Uh... what? I don't get it.
I'm not really sure about it either... Anyone got a better suggestion?
Check out my fanfiction!Hmm, maybe a shot of a crowded city scene without any children in it at all would work. A caption along the lines of "All the children in the land got inexplicably grounded at once."
A crowded scene would make a lot more impact if it was a playground, since you'd expect children there. Or at least, enough people that it wouldn't just appear abandoned.

Check out my fanfiction! No idea what the image has to do with the trope. Ax it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman+1 to pull.
Gone:
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhat? It's a woman holding a baby, and the baby has a targeting reticle over it. I mean, I'm sure we can find something prettier, but that seems pretty clearly related to me. :/
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableHolding a baby? Nope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt looks more like a pink blob in the process of eating someone.
Okay, fair enough... XD
The basic idea seems pretty sound, still, though.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI thought that was a little girl holding a doll.
I also dislike the page quote. It has the words "hide your kids" but is otherwise unrelated to the trope.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Quotes.Hide Your Children doesn't seem to fair much better.
Moon◊And the end of the description specifies that it's not to be confused with this trope.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableLooking for possible examples from the page... the best way to depict this I can think of is to show why games tend not to do this, so focusing on that.
Fable apparently had a promotional picture featuring the protagonist skewering a child. I couldn't find it in a cursory image search, but I'm also not sure where to begin looking.
Frame from Deus Ex (first person, holding a pistol, crosshairs over the back of a child running away). I think it's recognisably a child based on scale and height, but that is a possible issue.
Deus Ex Invisible War◊; cleaner picture, not sure if targeting.
Also Invisible War◊, cleaner picture, clearly aiming a gun at the child, but there might be issues with scaling.
Predictably, Drakengard has a lot to offer, but... well, it's kind of... blurry. Yeah. [1]◊ [2]◊ [3]◊ [4]◊ [5]◊ [6]◊
- I think these are recognisable child soldiers...◊
- They are fresh, they are tasty, they are nice◊
- Arioch! Not again!◊
- Grotesqueries◊
- Fighting grotesqueries◊
- Also fighting grotesqueries◊
From those images where Chrome bothered to work, they all are "children being targeted"
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI didn't really care for any of the last suggestions.
Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
I can barely tell what is going on in here. There's a (legless?!) woman holding a baby, but I have no idea what it has to do with the trope.
