Hello and welcome to UNPNTF, United Nations ParaNormal Task Force, or as we prefer to call ourselves: The Hunters. We deal with all the mystical and unusual things that may threaten humanity. We do not necessarily just shoot everything we see but if possible we also negotiate trying to strike deals and the like.

Allrighty, so here we are and I hoped that introductory text made you a bit interested. The basic idea behind this is that you are part of UNPNTF. A top secret Task force that consists of Special Forces Operatives from nations all over the world, mission control and even supernatural beings that have sided with them in their job to defend human civilization from unusual threats like vampires, werewolves, aliens, psychics, demon summoning cults and the like. So what will you be? A Badass Normal like this or something Badass Abnormal ?

You could be sent on missions to negoiate with a magi coven about being more careful, sent to locate artifacts, exorcisms and of course the good ol' extermination missions

Also, just so you people know before you start planning your character: The more awesome the characters innate abilities the less fancy toys they will have. After all, why spend the money on somebody who doesn't need it

I'm imagining this as part New World Of Darkness, part First Encounter Assault Recon, and part SCP Foundation, and it is awesome. Interested.

Okay, I will now compile a list with some example of what you can play as.

• Norms: They have full acess to all equipment. These guys are the Badass Normals and consists of Spec Ops(Navy SEA Ls, Delta Forces, Spetsnaz, SAS etc etc) from various nations as well as former unsanctioned hunters who have joined up in order to gain acess to the organizations resources. They also makes up the main force of UNPNTF.
• Psychics: They like the norms also have full acess to all equipment but most decides to eschew the standard issue tinfoil layer for their helmets as it hampers their abilities, but in turn increases the risk of they themselves being mentally assalted. Psychics can do stuff with their minds, for the most part only detecting surface thoughts, occasionally getting vauge glimpses of the future. Really powerful psychics can learn to project their soul outside their body, mind control or even telekinesis but these are forbidden to players. These guy may come from the same origins as the Norms but more often are recruited as civilians and going on a crash course through Hell or being content to work as mission control or other base duties such as psychologists.
• Magi: The wizards, Voluntary Shapeshifters and alchemists. They use magic.
• Vampires: The classic ones that were actually quite scary. Can change shape into wolves, swarms of bats, mist and the like between the rise and fall of the night sky. They can climb on walls and are both very strong and fast as well as hard to kill having Healing Factor and you requiring to destroy their heart and cut off the head, however they lose their powers when in UV radiation (like sunlight), most vampires are also innately psycic. Their gear however are mostly limited to a metal breastplate and perhaps a pistol or something like it. They are strong enough anyways.
• Other: Will take these as they come

Hmmm. If the creature's only power was possession, gaining one random power upon possession that is imbued to host's body, and a crystal ball for scrying. What kind of nerfs would I be looking at?

I'm going to play a Badass Normal. One question, what time period/year is it?
