Pokemon X and Y - Gen VI for the 3DS (SPOILER WARNING)

Yeah grass should've resisted fairy instead of fire, sad it doesn't.

And rock needs a defensive buff HARD. Something so solid yet so brittle, it kills me.

Honedge got screwed by the steel changes though. Also Blissey might actually be better off as pure normal. Her fairy typing might end up a liablity.

Lion looks pretty crap. And Gen VI's bleak brown and grey colour palette continues.

However, the lion does look like that deranged lion guy from the Lion King sequel. That or it's drugged up and crazy. So it's got that going for it.

yeah,Litleo's line seems to have a Thousand-Yard Stare problem.

Also, it kind of reminds me of Manectric. A lot.

The most funny part is that Rock gym leaders love to call the Rock type a defensive one. It's much better as an offensive one.

If Blissey becomes part fairy, it'll get nice Outrage immunity.

But that will make it Bullet Punch bait.

To be fair, Rock gyms are most often encountered early on, when most of the available Pokémon only have Normal attacks available and Rock resists Normal, and they do tend to have good physical defense.

It falls out the window when the Water/Grass starters start getting STAB attacks.

Fairy Pokemon resist both U-turn and Pursuit, though, so it's harder to punish them for making the wrong decision.

Also, on the fire-types, I think I will be using fletchling/Talonflame for the main game and box the Torchic until post-game. (Assuming you don't require a national dex in order to acquire it at all, that is.)

Team Flare only has one male admin. Is it me, or does he look like a bigger, fatter, body-guard like version of Tiereno? He looks SOOOOO derp-ish.

Plus, I think that they should put the leader of Team Flare a woman. If not, i would recommend a man (due to being one (derp-ish) male admin out of 4) that dresses like Team Flare, but is an Expy of The Phantom Of The Opera. Plus, he could even be Will's (E4 from Johto, who also looks like said Expy) brother/cousion, and the leader's theme sounds like classical evil music! Without opera words, due to Pokemon music being word-less.

And ANOTHER MEWTWO MEGA EVOLUTION?! God, they have to make another Mewtwo movie, don't they?

An interesting thought came to me a while ago: Freeze Skin which turns Normal type moves to Ice with increased power + Extremespeed with 80 base damage and priority. I personally doubt the Diplodocus pokemon will learn Extremespeed but what are the odds that another pokemon that can learn Extremespeed will also have the Freeze Skin ability?

There's also Skill Swap.

Pyroar will become the Butt-Monkey in the pokemon movies,like a certain other lion mon

Looks like a lot of things I predicted about Fairy Types came true.

Wait, wait, epiphany! I think I just figured out why Fire resists Fairy!

Jack-o'-lanterns. They were originally created to keep away demons and evil spirits, and many mythological fairies would qualify for both of those categories. Technically it was the face on the pumpkin (or radish, I believe the originals were radishes) that scared them away, but the candle inside is still heavily associated with the idea of the Jack-o'-lantern, so it makes sense.

I'm using that lion.

Because when this gen was announced, I wanted a fire lion (so I could nickname it Lionblaze), a panda Pokemon, and another kangaroo Pokemon.

So far I'm 2 for 3.

That Lion is soo becoming a part of my Pokemon Y Fire Team.

• Horus - Blaziken

It's nice to know that they're addressing the whole "Fire types are too rare" problem.

I'm still getting a Chespin and will nickname it Falstaff. Or Sancho (as in Sancho Panza).

• Hariboogu, Teerunaa, and Gekogashira have Overgrow, Blaze, and Torrent respectively, as expected. Their species are the Spike Armour, Fox, and Bubble Frog Pokemon.
• In anime news, it seems that Ash's travelling companions are going to be Serena, Clemont, and Clemont's sister, Bonnie.

Maybe the reason most of the pictures on the website feature Calem is because Serena gets to co-star in the anime.

So we might be getting a Hoenn dynamic in the animé? Might be nice; I liked Hoenn-Sinnoh Ash because he was treated as a veteran trainer.

I remember hearing that most of the pre-release stuff for RS focused on May, though, despite her being in the anime. Assuming that's true, I mean.

That's because no one can take Brendan seriously. :P

I don't know a lot about x and y dudes, but I know my team will have Fennekin and Squirtle.
