ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅI just want to say that the idea of meeting an online forum acquaintance in real life and staying overnight in the person's home scares me a bit.
I hope you find a good place
...isn't this what inns are for?
MMORPGs are serious business. You guys could try a hotel/motel.
It is nicer to have a cheaper place to stay though. :p
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅYeah hotels are expensive as fuck. The one my friends and I stayed at on new year's was like $200. Then again it was in the state capitol of Texas on New Year's Eve and it was 5 blocks from the best part of Austin- 6th Street.
Yes, especially since the cheap hotel we're booked at is going to cost nearly $700 for the stay.
月を見るたび思い出せIn any case, I'm not even sure if there are forum regulars here that live in or near Vancouver. :o
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅYou need the Priceline Negotiator.
Alas, I do not live in Canada.
I don't think I know anyone who does either.
Good luck though!
You could use airbnb. It's where you can rent a room in someone's house for a short period of time. I looked it up and for a week can cost as low as $350.
Look up Hosteling International's Vancouver hostel. If the rates are the same as they were on my trip to Montreal, it's ~$250 for a week; if you can get one of the rooms you share a bed in (that are meant for couples), it shouldn't pass $350-400, I think.
That's the best I can do, though, sorry. I live way further north.

Umm, shouldn't you first find an apartment and then move?
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Who rents an apartment sight unseen? O.o
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!It might be difficult to visit just to find a place, so they're just going to come settle first. Or that might be what they're doing.
Ah. Yes. Now that's the thing I hadn't considered as a small-country citizen I'm used to being able to get anywhere in the country in 3-4 hours... but of course it's different for Canadians. (I've been there. The place is huge).
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Yeah, I'm actually in Michigan at the moment. A quick daytrip to BC isn't in the cards.

Long story short? I'm moving to Vancouver with Moony. Does anyone have floor space and a sleeping bag or two? We need some place to crash for about a week while we look for an apartment.
