Recently I've really enjoyed the movies In Bruges, Life of Brian, Four Lions, and God Bless America. I also like tv shows like South Park, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei. would anyone like to recomend some similar media?

Doctor Strangelove. Classic comedy about accidental nuclear annihilation.

The Dictator is pretty darn dark.

"I'm pregnant"

"Congratulations! Are you having a boy or an abortion?"

Heathers! Probably my favorite dark comedy that's not also an action/drama/Shakespeare. Speaking of the latter, Titus is technically a tragedy, but it's so awesomely melodramatic (self-aware) and vicious that it's hilarious.

First thing that came to mind when I saw the title was Life of Brian but you already said that...

While it's not a comedy per se (though it does have Jim Carrey and plenty of humorous moments), The Truman Show can get pretty damn hilariously dark at times.

Reservoir Dogs is a comedy of sorts. Well, it has some really brutally funny bits in amongst all the horror. Even the ear cutting scene is not totally devoid of some levity, mostly around Mr Blonde's really horrible dancing. And the bit in the restaurant where the characters discuss the meaning behind Madonna's "Like a Virgin" song is flat out hilarious.

Eating Raoul, if you can deal with period pieces. It's very much a product of its time (the late 70's/early 80's).

Withnail And I. If you are feeling really ballsy, or (quite literally) suicidal, you can try the drinking game.note

I watched Man Bites Dog with friends on Boxing Day. Quite dark but still had laugh out loud moments. Although we didn't finish it as the subtitles went screwy in the second half. It has often been called the darkest comedy and while obviously YMMV I'd say it deserves it.

The Loved One, which is all about the funeral industry.

Also, if you can find it (only on VHS, and notoriously difficult to track down), Hammersmith Is Out. It’s kind of a white-trash twist on the Faust tale, from Peter Ustinov of all people. Beware, this one’s really an acquired taste.

The Last Supper and To Die For. Both a bit nineties, but quite funny, and rather dark.
