He looks tall, dark, and Alan Rickman just oozes sardonic charm, so it's not bad enough for an instant pull. If you have a suggestion, we'll consider it.
Also, you need to add in the link to the page as a wick, not just Copy+Paste the page title.
I think that the image is good.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFor someone silent, he sure looks snarky. Or mean. I don't think it's a bad image, though I'm open for suggestions of the better kind.
Check out my fanfiction!I had this one on my to-do list for JAFAAC; thanks for making the thread.

He doesn't look snarky to me so much as irritable. They can go together sometimes, but...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableSnarky means rudely sarcastic or disrespectful. It sounds like an attitude toward an adult, not from an adult. I don't think someone just frowning and folding his arms says snarky anyway.
I think the image sells 'snarky' just fine, but I would not mind seeing some suggestions.
The description, because I am not sure if we are going off the trope name where not appropriate:
That makes it sound like just a really snarky Marty Stu, or more of an Only Sane Man. Snape isn't really either.
Moon◊^ IMO, book Snape is not but movie Snape is.
I think we can show the surrounded by idiots part with a character rolling his eyes. It would make as much sense to have a pic of Ebenezer Scrooge as Snape. They show 'bitter' better than 'snarky'.

Bump and requesting lock, since it was missed.

The current picture for Tall, Dark, and Snarky is a textbook case of Just A Face And A Caption. It's just a picture of Snape from Harry Potter, it says nothing about the trope, and the caption does most of the work. Does anyone have any suggestions for a new image? I think it would be best to use one from a comic with a speech bubble of the character actually saying something snarky.
Here's the current image:
