I guess. Still it's kinda sad that we can get away with this but not with actual gay kiss on lips, coughSteven-Universecough.

x936 I also remember watching a second-season episode recently on Netflix where Mojo kept giving the Girl's school friends small doses of Chemical X, in turn, giving them superpowers in exchange for them to defeat the Girls. The effects, the ways the kids kept reacting when the powers drained, and the way Mojo acted in the episode is a very blatant G-Rated Drug.

So, I saw a screenshot for this episode and...yeah, that does look like an aged-up Star Butterfly, doesn't it?

Actually, since I'm here, I might as well discuss the Elephant in the Room.

For a while, I...I have been watching the show...

(Sees tropers pulling out torches and pitchforks while screaming "HERETIC! KILL THE LIKER OF THE TRASH!!!!!)

Ahhh! Hear me out! A while back, I was trying to do a post on my tumblr regarding the PPG madness while throwing in my two cents into the mix, but it hit me: I've never actually seen the darn show. To be honest, I was expecting the absolute worst thanks to the reading of the comments here.

So when I bit the bullet and watched the first episode (the one on Monster Island), I was surprised at how I ended up not hating it.

But of course, one can't just make assumptions based on one single episode, so I kept watching up until the Unicorn episode (which I haven't seen yet as of this posting).

But the thing is, I felt unfazed by a lot of the things you guys were complaining about. "Ahh! Blossom and Buttercup are rapping!" They were about to, but Bubbles quickly cut it short. "Ahhh! Blossom and Bubbles are Twerking! Inconceivable!" Well, yeah, but it kind of works in context. Buttercup was horrified about seeing her dear sisters being brainwashed into doing a creepy dance as you guys were horrified at seeing your childhood getting raped! (I assume?)

And hey! At least no one is turning Blossom into the resident Butt-Monkey, not like a certain other show that devolved the team leader into the universe's punching bag!

And the new leads are actually not bad considering who they're voicing! Sure, Tara Strong's feeling blue at not being able to come back as one her favorite characters to voice, and my heart weeps for her and everything, but to be honest, her Bubbles is kinda on the high-pitchy side. The new one feels more natural, but not to the point where it's unrecognizable as Bubbles.

So, should we consider the Powerpuff Crew to be bad people? No, come on, unless you're Hitler, Stalin, bin Laden, or Trump, nobody's a bad person.

Should we consider the leads to be no-talent frauds and/or talentless pieces of white trash? Absolutely NOT! They're not bad people either! They're just doing the best they can with what they've been given! Come on, surely not everyone's first steps in the voice acting department was a walk in the park!

And so what if I like this show (so far) and am apparently immune to having my childhood be raped? Does liking this show make me a bad person?

...

("HE ADMITS TO LIKING THE SHOW AND DARES TO REBUTT OUR COMPLAINTS! GET HIM!")

("HERETIC! KILL THE SHOW LIKER WITH VIOLENCE!")

("HE HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT THE NATIONAL TREASURE THAT IS TARA STRONG! PREPARE TO HAVE HIM BURNED WITHIN OUR WICKER MAN!")

AHH! You guys have one of those?! RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY! KEEP RUNNING!

...Maybe I should start taking people's words for things. Oy... tongue

Besides some poor execution of somethings this show is generally inoffensive, I think, and sometimes funny, occasionally very funny.

A lot of the things people complain about in this thread don't matter to me either, but I've already gone over that.

[up][up][up] I don't care if you're not a fan of this show, enjoy yourself with it - just like how I don't want to be part of the crowd for NOT liking this show. I just don't because I've seen better stuff on this channel, including Uncle Grandpa, in some cases...

Target Master Joe, don't really care if you have an unpopular opinion of the show. I am a person who respects people who openly admits they like a work that others regard as crap (I like the Super Mario Bros movie, it is my personal favorite).

However, I will raise a Village Mob to go after your hide for making what I considered the most cringeworthy joke I always encounter on the internet: the Angry Popular Opinion Mob! Seriously we get you, your opinion is different from ours; we don't want a whole skit from you trying to express how different and unique your thoughts are you special little snowflake. Because of that, you just created a Self Fullfiling Prophecy; and it would be my pleasure to be the one leading this mob.

Now, LET'S GET 'IM BOYS!

<BURN HIM!>

<THAT JOKE WAS SHIT!>

<I HAVE THE SAME EXACT OPINION OF THIS GUY, BUT EVEN FEEL WHAT HE SAYS IS FORCED!>

<PIERCE BRONSON IS A BETTER BOND THAN DANIEL CRAIG!>

<KILL STEEN KILL!>

Now that's out of the way, yeah this does look like an official image. And if that's real, then maybe Wakfu is airing on Cartoon Network!

Odds on the crossover taking massive and repeated Take That! dumps on the original PPG and TT 2003 at the same time?

Side note, did Elmur Fudd ever appeared on the show Wabbit? As well as Daffy, Marvin, Taz and so many other Looney Tunes characters?

IIRC Taz already showed up, and Daffy will appear in Season 2. But I actually like the show trying to do new characters for the most part, even when they tend to be uneven.

@ BigK:

Five. Hours. Later.

Owwwwwwwwww...

(Strugglingly gets up.)

Ok, in my defense, I didn't know that the Angry Popular Opinion Mob gag was...whew...was clichéd. Or whatever you said it was. Owwww. I thought it'd be funny on my part, especially the part regarding Tara Strong being a national treasure, which she is.

That said, I have to admit you're probably the only guy who said he liked the Super Mario Bros. movie. That must've taken courage to say and I respect that from you. Even if you sic'd an angry mob at me.

Actually, if I'm honest, I never really saw too much of the OG PPG when it was still on, mostly because my mom was convinced it was for girls and kinda shamed me into ignoring it.

I mean, if you guys were into it and regarded it as your bread and butter, more power to you, I just wasn't into it as everyone else was out of fear that people would tease me for it...

[up][up] You're welcome. It is my job to lynch the shit out people making cliche arguments/jokes that produce nuclear levels of cringe.

Also, yeah I get that a lot. Especially the fact I know and played the games before the movie. Most Mario fans usual detest it for not being an accurate representation of the series. I, for some reason, liked it.

Back on topic, that is the complete opposite with my parents when the show first aired. I guess it helped that I was already exposed to a girly show and they figured 'Why not?' The other girly show I am referring to is Sailor Moon, I blame my female cousins for exposing me to that . . . mostly because of its horrible dub . . . my god, my little sister will get the better dubbed better animated Sailor Moon. Lucky bitch. Anyway, in comparison the original show was pretty good. I recommend that show for its humor that makes fun of super hero tropes, interesting characterizations, and awesome action sequences.

Now if you excuse me, I'm off to another part of the Internet finding more posters to beat to death for attempting at comedy.

Still irks me that this show was announced with a crossover (even with something as polarizing as TTG) in the same month it premiered.

Usually most crossovers are announced after the show establishes itself in a few years or so; it's just "putting all of their eggs in one basket".

[up] Have I mentioned how much it irks me when Cartoon Network not do that Adventure Time/Regular Show crossover we dream of yet have the time to do this?

Seriously, its been like what 7 to 8 years since these two shows aired, both of which built their own fan base, have produced large number of episodes, help get Cartoon Network out of its Dork Age, still airing to this day and yet not multidimensional crossover between the two. It would of been an awesome collaboration and yet we're not getting it. At this point, I am Leonardo DiCaprio and this crossover is the Oscar . . . oh wait he won one.

Anyway point is, they should of done that crossover instead of the other one with PPG and TTG

I've actually seen advertisements for those two shows, where they not only advertise both shows in the same commercial, but call them "Adventure Show" and "Regular Time."
