They had us leave our backpacks and everything in the school and go down to the baseball field. We waited there for a while, then they had to get the bomb squad in. The bomb squad is HQ'd an hour away.

We weren't allowed to get to our cars to drive home. They just now opened the school to get our stuff, but guess who doesn't have a car to get there? Everyone.

Oh, and this is the second bomb threat at my school in two days.

Ugh

I hope you get all your stuff. sad My school has never had a bomb threat specifically, though we did have a kid tell his girlfriend not to go to school because he was gonna bring a gun. They kept that pretty hush hush though. Also, once there was this kid who apparently showed up to school with like a pound of weed and when they tried to arrest him, he ran through the woods. They found him because he dropped his wallet.

There was a drug scare at mine. A guy in my year got excluded permanently for dealing 500 grammes of weed.

On-site.

Update: Apparently they did find some sort of device in a boy's restroom. Whether it was an actual bomb or a decoy, I don't know. I'm guessing it was a decoy, though, since someone who actually wanted to blow the school up probably would have just blown the school up.

I hope they find the little punk who did this.

I remember bomb threats back in high school. My senior year the schedule was screwed up due to a bomb threat during finals week. Twice.

Every school in the area was once closed for the entire day because someone left a note on every school's doors saying there was a bomb inside. Turned out there weren't any bombs.

They never found whoever did it.

The thing about leaving cars is that whoever may have set the possible bomb up could have evidence in their car.

And they probably assumed that everyone could catch a ride to get their stuff.

I was in the sixth grade when someone called a bomb threat on half of my entire school system! They found a note, and they released school early.

That was Monday. Wednesday, there was another bomb threat. We got out early too, and they decided to delay school for the remaining two days of the week.

Come Friday, there was yet another bomb threat, sending everyone home!

Jeepers, huh?

Just floating around...

[up]This is the second one we've had in a row.

Apparently we had a few last year too, though I was away on a student exchange last year. What a welcome home, huh? Lookin' to be a great start to senior year. /sarcasm off.

Geez, nothing like that ever happens at my school. Though, given that there's only 400 students, it shouldn't be a problem.

One of the neighboring districts has the occasional fake-out, though.

I don’t even know anymore.

Closest thing we ever had to a bomb or gun threat was when my friend was caught with a spud gun, and he then threw it in a bush, so the school got suspicious, got him, but kept the whole thing under wraps.

My school had one during a recognition assembly, when a bunch of parents were here. It was a total fake-out, no decoy or anything.

They could have at least wrapped a box in tin-foil or something. Really, they had everyone standing in the cold for about an hour, with no-one allowed to walk home.

Never a single one.

This is Austria. We're too unimportant for anyone to waste bombs on us!

This is Ireland. They put bombs near houses, not schools.

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!
