Does Not Illustrate: Strange Minds Think Alike

I seriously don't get how the image shows the trope. Even with the caption, I don't understand it. Hell, when it's that close up, you can't even tell that it's a ladder. This trope can be image'd, I think, but I think this one is generally terrible.

I think it's even misleading. It suggests that two different people came up with an idea that was lifted from a poem. As that's a common source for the inspiration, it doesn't follow some kind of Insane Troll Logic as the trope dictates.

Thanks for doing that. What I normally do is tag the page as such:

Once the thread resolves, I either change the tag to the standard form or change the second line to "Please start a new thread if you'd like to suggest an image." if the thread clocks out.

I went through the webcomic examples and I think we have some viable options:

• Panels 1 and 2 (maybe cropped) of this
• Panels 2 and 3 from both this and this as a 2x2 collage, or even just panel 3 from each as a 2-paneler
• Something from this...I'm thinking either panels 2-4 and 6 or 2-5 as a 2x2

First one I can't really tell its different people coming up with the same thing because the first panel is just hands. I do like the second one(s) though.

Option 2 is decent. I really like option 3 (panels 2, 3, 4, 6), though.

I think it actually makes it sound as if claw shrimp isn't that out of the blue.

I think the internet has a term for that, let me remember what it is... oh yeah!

TL;DR

I was thinking that even as I was building it...oh well. I'll try to put together something from the second option this afternoon.

Alright, here's my take on the second option...if this one doesn't fly them I'm out of ideas.

It's not great, but it does sort of illustrate the trope, I think. The bad part is that it was an actual accident, which means there's nothing strange with it happening in the first place. However, two other people think the same thing, and for what isn't exactly a common occurence.

Bump...any other thoughts?
