I wouldn't exactly call Lucifer some random angel, but I agree that we could absolutely do better. Not sure about the comic though.

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.Honestly, the image in question exudes the sort of arrogance that the sin entails, so not even reading the caption that went with the image, I saw pride.
Moon◊How about the first Pride image in the "Why Humanity Can't Get Past The 7 Deadly Sins" article of Cracked?
I don't mind the current. That said, how about the last panel of this?
Holding your chin up like that is a textbook sign of arrogance, pride, or intimidation.
Check out my fanfiction! The current isn't JAFA Ac, but and are both better. I prefer the latter because it's easier to read.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Current seems better to me than any of the suggestions.
Cracked image made me laugh a lot, though.

Belief or disbelief rests with you.I know he's supposed to be Lucifer, but without the caption you can't really tell that.
I'd vote for the DMFA pic.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I just love the quotation, "It's a sin you should be proud of, damnit!"
Check out my fanfiction!Do you need to know it's Lucifer? All you need to know is that the guy looks arrogant as hell - y'know, exhibiting pride. And he does. Plain as day.
Definitely prefer it to the DMFA image. Not sure if I prefer it over the Cracked image or not, though.

Moon◊Shockingly, I like that representation of the devil.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I don't think there's anything wrong with the current pic.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThe DMFC one is my favorite.
Pinball cleanup threadI see nothin particularly wrong with Lou but if we must change it, I vote for the sin you should be proud of, dammit!
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Caption is not required. Figure looks prideful.
Also, it looks awesome. OotS does not look awesome. That is important for a page image.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Order Of The Stick is all text and no visuals. Strongly oppose that. Current...the visuals are there but are kinda weak...
Keep Until Better Image Suggested
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm not sure if this is the right place to bring it up (or TRS, or just do it anyway), but the page quotation is just a shorter variant of what's on Look on My Works, Ye Mighty, and Despair. There are several I think work better on Quotes.Pride.
Check out my fanfiction!^Images and quotes are often co-decided.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, then. Ones I think would work better:
For you can have no greater sign of a more confirmed pride, than when you think that you are humble enough.
— William Law
All men make mistakes, but a good man yields when he knows his course is wrong, and repairs the evil. The only sin is pride.
— Sophocles, Antigone
Thinking in isolation and with pride ends in being an idiot.
— G. K. Chesterton
Question: How many bosses does it take to change a light bulb?
Answer: One. He holds the light bulb and the universe revolves around him to screw it in.
"It's a sin you should be proud of damnit!!!"
— Aaryanna, Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures

Check out my fanfiction!1 or 5 for me.
I tend to agree. It depends on whether it should be funny or thoughtful. I usually prefer funny, but thoughtful meshes well with the picture.
Check out my fanfiction!I like Sophocles's and Aaryanna's. Possibly both, for contrast.
I see nothing wrong with the current image. You can tell he thinks he's awesome.

Evil is my favorite color.
The image on Pride is of a random angel, with the caption required to explain how exactly this has anything to do with the trope at hand. Surely we can do better?
For example, a few panels from this comic, but I'm also open to other suggestions. Even if we want to show the image of an angel, there are dozens of classical paintings that do the job better than this piece of fan art.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
