Things are certainly heading in an interesting direction in the main plot. As for the special story, score for Takao! She managed to butter up to her prospective mother-in-law without her even realizing it!.
Agree as I know Yamato she will be most likely willing talk, though I am not sure if there is any common ground between fog and mankind...
Takao geting friendly with Gunzou mother were nice touch, though after that story I can't think about his father as realy evil person...
Btw my favourite ship is Takao (obviously as she is... Ehm ...Takao), second most favourite is absolutely secret!

New chapter is up by the way. The plot is obviously chugging along, we have new character introductions (like battleship Bismarck's mental models being twin blonde meganekko lolis with side-tails wearing thigh-boots), and surprising implications, particularly about Yamato.
I can see battle of japan fleet plus junior vs Europian with papa
Common enemy would definitely help with negotiation
and yes it seems to be definite that Amaha is that "other" Yamato...

I thought the point was made perfectly obvious when we were shown the garden that Yamato had going on her deck. I doubt a Fog ship would even NEED these in the first place.
Also, the way she was dressed too — too casual. The Fog mental models, barring the ones that sided with Gunzou (Iona, Takao, and Hyuuga) all had very stylized formal wear. Almost formal evening wear actually (see Yamato's VERY ornate gown, or Musashi's Maetel-esque dress).
The other "Yamato" on the other hand, was actually wearing a hat, a tee-shirt, and shorts.
That is good point though It could be result of her mysterious relation with Kotone instead of actualy being her. In the end simplier possibility is right one...

I honestly don't think a battleship will need a watermelon patch on her deck. Heck, you only need to have one when you need to EAT a watermelon. More hints to the second Yamato being not as she seems.
The bigger question for some readers was... Who exatly is Archer? It's not exactly a common name even for someone born in England, which led many to believe that she's a mental model for a ship too. Ah, we don't have that many details yet.
Anyway, the series page needs a slight update due to the new information. Who'll do the honors?
How about you go ahead, and we'll patch it up?
I'll be calling this Battleship Plot Twist: The Comic. Not that I didn't like it. It's just once a month is TOO SLOW
What profit is it to a man, when he gains his money, but loses his internet? Anonymous 16:26 I believe...Come on. Do you have idea how long it take draw all that Scenery and Technology Porn?! (Not mentioned in every chapter Takao have to wear different outfit!)
would you be realy able live without that?!
Only think that kept me from that were need use of grammer thread which is quite inconvenient. I will reread Aof BS and go for it (but don't expect much of artistic value in my writing...)

Given how I mostly read stuff at the office, and how our IT has just recently started blocking online manga host sites (the only one left that I can access is Batoto, and given the size of images THAT site uses, it take a while to load each page), I can't promise much myself. Also I'm babysitting technically two series pages right now — Narue No Sekai and Love Allergen — so at the most I can do is spell-checking for Arpeggio.

Ok, I finished reading and tropes collecting, now I am going to think about description for these. But before that there are some stuff I would like bring here beforehand mainly regarding changes on already existing tropes and stuff that might be arguable.
- Shout-Out - previous troper consider Fog ships being this to WW 2 ships, I would rather move it to Shown Their Work instead and put there Hyugas robot who resemble lot to Boss Borrot Hyuaga seems like Super Robot Genre quite lot afterall.
- Mugging the Monster - I would like replace it with Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu as army knew they are fighting monster and did it regardless, so I think this trope suit it more.
- Bigdamn Heroes - mentioned in relation with first chapter, I belive Gun Ship Rescue is more fitting.
- Expy - these are alway arguable anyway, but I know at least about one other person(on Mangafox) who consider Shouzou being expy of Ikary Gendou. That one seems to be almost certain (almost)
- Gunzou himself seems channeling James T. Kirk a lot right down to Kirks almost memetic poses [1] x [2] (I can provide another two different cases that fit, but looking for that in manga again would be quite bothersome). Drama CD also realy make me remember Kobayashi Maru test (That was first impulse for this suspicious)
- I consider making separate section on same page for "Joint Tactical Network" it getting be more and mor tropefic and yet, farer from canon with every single page
Aside of these I just realised that At least one of three Arc Performance authors has to have thing for legs (ot it might be due editor who get steped on by various mental models a lot),

Ehm new chapter is out, Takao put good fight but with mantaing dummy she doesn't have full computing capacity -> in pinch
The biggest problem facing Takao right now is the fact that she's fighting handicapped, since she's devoting computing power to control the decoy. If she stops controlling the fake Iona, then she can fight properly, but doing that would mean dropping the facade and alerting the JSSDF, which obviously they don't want.
Yeah, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have to wonder though if the spy sub (I-142 was it? The one with the watermelon) will intervene in this case?
I don't see reason why she should, both Takao and U-2501 are enemies after all. And finding Nagara core seems to be priority (it's quite mistery, why though). I more wonder if Gunzou can come back instead. That short connection should make them wonder whats going on...
Anyway what do you think about that?

Hmm, it looks like we have the indirect intervention of Yamato once again in this one. Look at the watermelon that 402 is carrying with her. Who's willing to bet that it's one of those from the small patch on Yamato's hull?
Yup it indeed looks like that, big alliance is comming (though I realy wonder what Kongou would say on that...)
Hmmm interesting.
I am looking forward to the underwater laser sniping.
A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body. So, new chapter, and what have we learned?
- Yamato's mental models are modeled after Kotono Amaha... because she feels like it? Apparently while Yamato was the one who started the Mental Model thing, she's not entirely sure why she decided it to begin with.
- Oh, and it looks like Gunzo's mom actually figured out that Takao wasn't human, and indeed passed this on to the prime minister. Oh, and she's the one taking care of Makie now.
A bit late, but Arpeggio is getting an anime! The good news is that they seem to be retaining the Drama CD cast, and that the studio is the same one that did the recent Cyborg 009 movie (meaning◊ cel-shaded CGI◊).
The bad news? The director's been revealed to be Seiji Kishi... who doesn't exactly do well on non-comedy shows.

Not just Kishi to worry about; all of the main staff have horrible resumes. I would maintain low expectations
At least it has some very good voice actors...
And it can't be so bad adaptation as Mayouu, can be? (trying desperately fool myself)
PS: I wonder why Rina Satou isn't mentioned in cast, I hope they not going replace her for someone else as Takao.

Sorry for doublepost but trailer is there

is not the staff that i am worried of. even if we have all star staff. i still worried on how they will animate it
i cannot find any arc which can be good anime stopping point. closest one is haruna-makishima arc. but the havent even finish the original objective (bringing torpedo to US)
so yeah we probably have anime original ending
well i dont mind as long we have epic battleship battle
It can be handled, with Gunzou breaking through Kongous blockade and reuniting with Takao. I am pretty sure curent material can be handled in spam of 24 and maybe even less.
Anyway. New episode is out. I realy like how Haruna and co are portraited. There is lot of depth.
I found there is fairly number of troper who know and like it. So I decided give a shot and make thread. Enjoy
