This thread seems more like "What series do you like the most" more then the most memetic. The Looney Tunes and The Simpsons are so deeply ingrained in Western culture they probably take the cake

Early Spongebob Squarepants.

It's almost possible to quote entire episodes based on its quotably memetic nature. Just check out the "Positive Spongebob Thread" on this very forum!

There is a lot of memes that came out of the Eighties. Hold on.

I would like to credit Super Mario Bros Super Show, but I can't help but suspect that 90% of all nintendo Memes came straight from Hotel Mario.

The Simpsons. It has had way too much of an impact on pop culture for it not to be.

This. The Simpsons has a wider range of viewers than the others listed and the memetic mutations long predated wide internet usage.

Spongebob.

Simpsons is not actually that memetic. It's just frakking long. In any show of sufficient length, some memetic things are bound to happen.

Friendship is Magic, definitely. Thank god I don't watch it. AOSTH and Super Mario World get honorable mentions as well.

I'm surprised Phineas and Ferb doesn't have more memes associated with it, given its popularity.

I don’t even know anymore.

For deeply-ingrained cultural osmosis, Simpsons.

For sheer density of memes in a startlingly short time, Friendship is Magic.

I'll have to go with The Simpsons as well. I'm not sure how big MLP's memes are outside the fandom, so that's a tough one to judge. Regardless, while it may have had a large number of memes in a small amount of time, I believe The Simpsons has probably a larger quantity of memes overall, which have penetrated the public conscious deeper.

Simpsons is not actually that memetic. It's just frakking long. In any show of sufficient length, some memetic things are bound to happen.

Except that Simpsons memes started practically as soon as the show did. They also predate wide-spread internet usage, as said before. "D'OH" made it into Oxford's Dictionary, for crying out loud. I'm pretty sure that nothing from My Little Pony or Spongebob has that distinction.

You also have to keep demographics in mind. While a lot of the shows mentioned have a decent sized Periphery Demographic, arguably none of them have the wide range of viewers that The Simpsons does. Its fanbase ranges from children to senior citizens.

I'd vote for the Simpsons as first place, narrowly beating Loony Tunes.

Nobody's mentioned Futurama which I think may have spawned the most memes this century. Note may.

I'm not a MLP or Spongebob fan; I can genuinely only think of two memes from the former compared to at least 4 I've actually heard multiple times in everyday life for the latter. Outside the internet any South Park (save "they killed Kenny") meme is from the film, and that's beaten by Team America.

That 60's Spider-Man cartoon has become a pretty big meme unto itself for its narm charm. I haven't even watched it myself and yet I know so many images of him from it.

It was bound to happen.
