^^ Yes in theory he is the apocalypse maiden. That is very confusing though.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Why so? In the pic he's big and black glowing, dialog indicates he's not hostile, and the trope is gender neutral. It's actually a good idea to use an image of a guy to help make it more obvious.
Forgot to add earlier, the context is that since he's from another universe and bonded with a fragment of hte local Cosmic Keystone, their universe is now unstable since their CK is incomplete. In a mater of days he would become an indestructible bomb capable of destroying everything. The girl, Jenny, is a local Reality Warper who wants to fix him, just a touch fried her.

The dialogues is very, very squished. And I would have preferred if one of the covers had him look distinctly horrified and unwilling to the destruction he's causing.
Again, is there a comic version of Teen Titans' "Birthmark" storyline? Because the scene where Slade says "You're going to destroy the world. It's written all over your face." is very good, but doesn't work with screenshots from the episode itself.
I have a message from another time...Captain Atom is worse and bad for two reasons: It takes far longer to understand what the picture is about. It's also not the trope, by being too personal. Touching someone and becoming a corpse isn't the trope. Ending the world is.

Check out my fanfiction! After this suggestion I'm going to let someone else take on the task of finding something better. Because I don't think I can get anything more of interest...
I found this◊ from the comics, it's about as close as I could find without a sequence of panels. I found the pic from the animated show, and it goes well with your quote.
On second thought, forget this one, it's Just A Face And A Caption.

Yeah, I knew that a picture from the animated series wasn't going to work.
I have a message from another time...Sorry, didn't mean to get so negative. Anyway, the last panel of the above comic◊ might work on its own, though in this context she isn't an apocalypse maiden per se, her dad is threatening to destroy the world unless she comes to his dimension. She's got the "doesn't want to hurt others because of her nature" part down, though.
Without knowing about it, I don't see anything about the trope. Well, I see a maiden, but then, Hellboy qualifies as a maiden for this trope...

Check out my fanfiction!I could kiss you for the suggestion.
We'd need an okay from the painter for this one, but it's nice and wordless. The top panel◊ of this comic could work, though I'd have to blow up the size of the speech bubbles, maybe include the horn breaking.
Well, if you're cute I don't mind.
Hellboy still doesn't work without context. That fanart is neat, but there are too many kittens for an apocalypse.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm starting to question whether this trope can be properly pictured.
I have a message from another time...Doesn't seem like it can.
The third's the best of those.
Is that fiery orb meant to be Earth? If so, is there an image where that's actually visible?
The first there is worse than the current for me.
In other words, while I don't actually like the current one, it's the best one so far, without contest.

Check out my fanfiction! That'd be good and make me prefer the third to the first.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. No, that's a star that she's about to eat.
This is a clear cut◊ example, it's just text-heavy. The third, fifth, and sixth panels could work on their own. Maybe the last, too.

Bottom 3 panels, you mean?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBottom three? You mean the last three? Maybe, but that leaves out the "maiden" part of it. Anyway, this is◊ ...sort of what I had in mind. It still needs editing, but this is the gist of it.
I think those are too cluttered, and the scanned page has too low quality. And it still doesn't say more than the current one.
Check out my fanfiction! After reading through this thread I like the dark pheonix eating the sun picture the best. It gets the general idea across and I have always found multipanel page images a bit akward. It's also a It Was His Sled so don't have to worry too much about spoilers.

Hm...it occurs to me we could just use the first and last panel from the edited version I have. "In Jean Grey's moment of anguish, the Phoenix power engulfs her...and the Earth itself". Pretty short and self-explanatory. The captions to the image aren't completely necessary either.
ETA: Like this◊.

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
Yeah, it's gender neutral. I just went through the examples for one I was familiar with.
I can fix the balloon size, just a matter of enlarging the balloons.
