Yeah, I've had that fullscreen problem for several months now. I've just learned to cope with it.
As for the latter part of your post, I never use the homepage, so I dunno what to tell you. Go to your subscriptions page if you don't want them mixed in, I'd say.

Yes, even though that feature only showed you 23 videos posted immediately after the one you were watching, making going to an earlier upload very difficult (unless the video you were coming from was one of the 23 most recent videos, in which case you got 1-23 videos before it), it was nice to have the feature at all. That it's completely gone now is ridiculous.

Well I don't like this layout. Also apparently there going to start forcing people to use real names instead. I don't know if that is true but I'm hoping not.
They've tried to get people to do it, it's not forced yet but it's an awful idea.

Sorry, Youtube doesn't want you to have things your way. The only reason that method worked before was the admins hadn't finished deleting the old code.

No I'll still be complaining about the dropdown user videos being gone. I used that all the time.

@ Odd 1: That's exactly what happens.
What I find annoying about the new layout is how vids from channels I've subbed to are all jumbled up with recommended videos.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting Agency
