Your First Game, and Your Favorite Game(s)?

The people whose first games were on the N64 or similar systems suck. Makes me feel old. You bastards.

The first video game I distinctly remember playing was Hexxagon, on a laptop that had a black-and-white screen and could run on D-size batteries.

First was either Mario 2 or Snake.

Favorite is Galaxy or Fallout 2.

My first game...I think it was either Digimon World or Pokemon Red/Blue.

My favorite...I can never decide. Let's just go with Mother 3.

My first game? It had to be Out Run on the Sega Master System.

My favorite game? I would have to guess Super Mario World, or Harvest Moon 64. Or Pokemon 5th Gen...

The oldest game I remember playing was the Playstation 1 Spiderman game.

I'm not sure about my current favorite, but Modern Warfare 1, Fallout: New Vegas, Crysis, and Medieval Total War 2 are up there.

My first game was Lizzie McGuire: When Cheerleaders Attack for the GBA. What? I was SEVEN!

My favorite games are Sims, Pokemon, and the Professor Layton series.

I think it was Elite on the BBC Model B as my first game.

Favourite game? Well, on time spent, it's either Fallout New Vegas, GTA San Andreas or World Of Warcraft, but on what the games meant to me it has to be Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears or Final Fantasy VII.

Which I already said a page ago.

My first was Sonic Heroes. My first portable game was either Pokemon Ruby or Super Mario Bros 3 Advanced 4. Can't pick a favorite.

My first console game was Donkey Kong 64, and my first handheld game was Pokémon Pinball.

First one was probably Pong, Super Mario Bros. 1, or maybe some Atari(any version) game.

Favorites include Quest 64, Final Fantasy VIII, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Soul Calibur II.

First(Earliest) console game I remember was Super Mario 64, first handheld was Mario Bros Deluxe. Favorite: out of my top 5 I choose Paper Mario: The Thousand year door.

God, I can't remember what my FIRST was. It was either Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Kirbys Dreamland 2, or Super Mario Land. I know that Kirby was the one that always stuck out the most to me in my mind, though I'm not quite sure why.

My favorite game...well, I'm not sure. I never really thought about it. I do have a few series I mostly stick with (Kirby, Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, and Grand Theft Auto), but none I can really think of that are my favorite. I suppose that probably the games I've played the most out of all my others are Grand Theft Auto IV (it helps me relieve stress, and then I try the missions and the stress comes rushing back) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I'm not sure I'd say those are my favorites. My favorite genre's always been sidescrolling platformers, but maybe that's just because that's what I mostly grew up with.

...you would think I would remember my first. I'll take an educated guess and say Sonic Advance.

Favorite is still Persona 3 Portable. Even though Persona 4 Golden is still technically better.

Many, many years ago, I played some sort of artillery game on a 1980s machine with a monochrome display. The games that really got me into computer gaming were Sim City 2000 and Warcraft 2.

My favorite games are probably Star Craft 1, Half-Life 1, Age of Empires 2, and Master of Orion 2.

Oddly enough, the first game I remember playing was also that PS 1 Spider-Man game. Don't remember the name.

Favorite game? Well... it hasn't aged very well and it's sequels have far surpassed it in gameplay but there was something magical about playing Disgaea: Hour of Darkness way back when.

Now that I think of it, maybe my first video game was one of those Jump Start edutainment computer for little kids.

Pfft. Those aren't games.

Well if you really wanna be technical, there is a genre called Edutainment Game. And those fit into it. Even our page for the series describes it as that.
