First off, why do men wear underwear. Briefs, boxers exactly what purpose do either serve? To me, they just look uncomfortable and I can't see how they wouldn't get in the way when taking bathroom breaks.

Chaffing is a horror that underwear does wonders for. Especially with jeans.

Also some underwear is made to hide or exaggerate package.

Men have genitals, too, and pants tend to chafe that area.

And unless you're five seconds from pissing yourself, underwear doesn't much get in the way.

In the simplest phrasing possible: Chafing is a bitch.

Especially when your genitalia are able to be chafed.

Also; hair and zippers don't mix well.

Yeast infections.

I actually read a paper somewhere that claimed the opposite, though it was talking about underwear made of synthetics.

I thought men shaved most of it off, but I don't know how chafing never occurred to me. It makes more sense now.

Onto something else, a lot of times men's clothing seems to be a lot more uniform. I know it's convenient to spend less time trying things on because you know it'll all fit but do you ever feel awkward when you go to an event and everyone's basically dressed in the same thing?

Maybe its just me but it seems to get worse the more "formal" the occasion as the suits everyone wears get progressively more and more alike, while you'll still see lots of different styles on the ladies.

Male fashion is rather lame in my opinion. I love dressing up; but there isn't very much for me to dress up in as a guy. I am rather envious of woman for their fashion.

[up][up] And it has been like that for the last century or so, too. You can wear a suit to any old-fashion-themed dress up party and more likely you'll still be in theme.

... surely men don't shave much of it off?

I was under the impression that male hair removal was still kind of an uncommon thing.

No, shaving down there is not a common thing for men. Also, wearing underwear = way more comfy than going commando.

Well, at least that goes for briefs. I, like George Costanza, don't get boxers. They ride up and don't give enough support.

Somehow you know that the time is right.

On hair removal: I used to think I was better off not shaving around the pubis.

Boy was I wrong. Much more comfy and aesthetic.

What surprised me most: I expected the shave to look ugly in an un-natural way, and I've gotta say it's completely wrong. I botched the job once and it wasn't apparent.

Also, I wear underwear because I wear the same pants for week at time, and I just dont trust their general cleanliness. Instead of having 7 different pair of pants I just have 7 or so underwears.

Not that my pants gets this filthy, but I'd rather not take any chance of getting an infection to the crotch or something. Call me paranoid.

Also, no chafing is pretty neat.

I love my clothes tame personally. I'm not a flamboyant person myself, but I suspect there's different taste for everyone.

I find men's clothing to be "sleek and consistent." I don't understand women's clothing to be all over the place in how much they vary.

Pffft. Metrosexuals. It's a short step from that to 'exfoliating' and fake tan and the next thing you know BAM! you grow another X chromosome.

I for one wish there was more choice in mens' outfits.

I can't stand jeans either.

Don't you have any other types of trousers?

What about chinos or those pseudo-combats or 'cargo pants' or even a decent pair of dress trousers (of which there are many styles)?

I think female hair removal is pretty silly, so I'm not really enthused about men embracing it either.

Actually, if anything, men should be the ones removing it, because they have more =P And BO is more of a problem for them.

If you wear soft pants, would chafing still be a problem? Also, shaved my pubes once. Stiff hairs grew back and it was incredibly painful.

I vowed, and so did you: Beyond this wall- we would make it through.
