A year? A bit late, if you'd ask me...
Programming and surgery have a lot of things in common: Don't start removing colons until you know what you're doing.@Lock: I realize that. I'm not necessarily looking to reestablish the friendship, as much as I wish I could, but I mostly just want to clear the air and let everything out for her to know.

I don't know her at all, obviously, but for many people, that would be ample time for all the anger to cool down a little. At the very least, she might be in a better position to consider your apology.

"Lock up your girlfriends, lock up your wives, Grim's on the loose so run for your lives." - PyriteI've been contemplating something similar; drove a friend away with some drunken moping a while back. However I'm certain it'd do little; pretty sure I burned that bridge.
@Grim: That's a very good point there. Right now it's less a matter of "will I" and more "when will I" (the only reason for that being my overly scheduled schedule in the next 7 or so days...though my great ability to procrastinate kind of worries me here).

I'm considering writing a letter to a former friend of mine. It's been nearly a year since we last spoke (the reason being that on a night when I was in a particularly pissy mood I said some things to her that I'm not particularly proud of >_< and she was insulted enough that she essentially never wanted to speak to me again...). I want to write her telling her how sorry I am (even though I doubt she'll accept the apology) and telling her how much I miss her and how close we used to be and how pissed I am at myself for screwing that all up and just...
Anyway, does anyone have advice or experience they'd like to share regarding this? Anyone ever do something similar, and if so how'd it work out for you?
