I love the original Saturn game. I hope this turns out well.
inb4 Japan-exclusive.
Actually, I've never played the original Ni GH Ts. If this exists, I might pick this up.
At long last.
If this is indeed a thing, that would be pretty great. Journey of Dreams just wasn't a satisfying sequel, but a remake of the original would be pretty much an excellent thing to have, provided it's done right.

So they're putting up the PS 2 re-release om PSN and XBLA? That's cool, my Saturn copy somehow got damaged and I would like to play it again.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. It's not the PS 2 version.
According to Sega, the remake will "bring Nightopia to vivid life with improved HD graphics and a 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as added support for leaderboards, trophies, and achievements."
The game will also take a page from the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition with a feature to switch to "an optional Saturn Mode that will let players experience the game with the original graphics intact."

Jonah FalconThat's pretty much what the PS 2 version did. It too had improved graphics (albeit not in HD) and the ability to play the original Saturn version. The only new thing is the achivements/trophies and HD support.

"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!Y'know, I've always forgotten to ask this, but what kind of game is Ni GH Ts?

GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE!
I've always liked Ni GHTS more than Sonic anyway.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceIt's about as hard to describe as an actual dream, methinks; I'd say it's a 3D platformer that switches to a 2½D flight-based platformer.
Now, where's that Christmas NiGHTS mode?

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Nights is much less annoying than sonic as a character, that's for sure.
Only you Komodin
Only you.
Then again, Sonic was always rather "Meh" to me, as I'm guessing Ni GHTS is to you. Different Strokes for different blokes and all.
Now then, when do we get a proper sequel to NID? JOD was fun... But it wasn't a good Ni GHTS game and I would really like a proper sequel to my favorite SEGA franchise

I'm having to learn to pay the priceI'll admit, I would have no clue what Ni GHTS even was if it wasn't for that Ni GHTS themed pinball game in Sonic Adventure.
XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider! This is has been bugging for years but what gender is Nights? I always thought it was a chick.
S/He's meant to be genderless so it's whatever you want it to be.
Ni GH Ts is a chick in my eyes (thanks Journey of Dreams cutscenes).
Anyway, probably gonna pick this up.
Ni GH Ts is actually referred to as "him" in one of the cutscenes. Someone just didn't tell the VA that s/he's genderless, I think.
