I'm waiting for my beta key just like how a kid waited for his letter from Hogwarts.
Same with me. I think they'll go for the high-spec applicants first though...
I now go by Graf von Tirol. My main question is, can multiple people control game motion during a single record, or perhaps can the animator import a saved game session? It seems like it'd be useful for complex interactions.

Fresh-eyed movie blogSomehow I've managed to get into the beta, which surprises me seeing as I've never submitted anything to Steam workshop. That awes me. I need to put it to good use somehow.
Do something like this.
I put on my robe and tinfoil hat...SFM imports a game much like Garry's Mod does, right? I wanted to see a Portal SFM video, but the closest I got was a demo of a TF 2 character rocket jumping the platforms room (with most of the textures unloaded).
It's not even that everybody's playing with Meet the Heavy, because there's a lot of non-MTH TF 2 vids.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. That's where the community is, especially among Steam Workshop people.

Fresh-eyed movie blogRight. At the moment, the beta only imports TF 2, but once it's done it should import any source game.
It lets you import any custom model you want. Not sure how it works yet, as I've only watched a few of the tutorials, but the capability is definitely there.

I'd be interested to see what would happen in terms of importing models. Waxonator made a few YTP models while waiting and he just got his invite today. I'd be interested in seeing what would come of it.
I now go by Graf von Tirol.I wouldn't be surprised if magnificent, wonderful things come of this.
That is both magnificent and wonderful. I am thoroughly unsurprised.
A bunch of copies just went out this morning. Check your Steam library if you signed up, you might have a new copy.
I put on my robe and tinfoil hat...Just got my copy. Going to have to consult videos first, as I have a limited idea about what to do with it...
I now go by Graf von Tirol. It's more than that: the game went into open beta. Anyone with Steam can install it now.
It's almost finished installing.
With the release of the open beta, Valve has now included the source files of Meet the Engineer. Now that's what I call a fine piece of work.
Can someone help me with Source Filmmaker? The Blade Clip function's not working.
X GON' DELIVER TO YA!

Move over, Garry's Mod, we have a new tool for surreal and/or hilarious Source shorts.
