As far as I know there is more to Yaoi then just the fact that it's a relationship between two men.

Well, overall, Yaoi is just the general denomination for graphic male homosexuality, but that includes mere 'vainilla' sex without any weird or extreme fetishes.

Yaoi is also closer to heterosexuality with both characters represented by male characters.

Saying "anything Yaoi" is the weirdest thing to you isn't, uh, a good thing.

Yeah... I've seen a lot of those in some of my fandoms. (I like Nintendo. They are all over Nintendo due to one specific infamous writer and copycats). Mostly, I've just seen weird summaries and passed them up. I actually tried to read one of them once for the Kid Icarus fandom and just... couldn't. I couldn't get past the first chapter. The actual writing, structure-wise was good, it's just that aside from the humor, it struck me as very fetishy and while I have no objections to people enjoying whatever weird fetish they like in peace and freedom, there are some fetishes that I just do not share.

Hmmm... weird fic... I actually have a weird one that I liked enough to stick on my favorites list. I forget who wrote it and I forget the title, but I can dredge it up easily if it's wanted: A very short crossover between The Hunger Games and Katamari Damacy . It involves Katniss discovering a tiny sticky ball in that backpack she picked up on the first day of the games, and, well, the ball gets rolling from there. I found it hilarious.

Yeah, not ALL Yaoi fanfic is bad. I mean, a lot of it is pretty terrible. But I've seen a few that were pretty good reads.

Well, my reactions to yaoi usually are uncontrollable laughter over the corny dialogue. It's not weird, it's incredibly funny.

What's wrong with them? Well they failed biology and anatomy multiple times...

Either that or they haven't taken those classes yet and in that case they shouldn't be writing yaoi....

The other day I found a fanfic that was (for lack of a better word) a 'crossover' between The Big Bang Theory and... My Chemical Romance. Oh, and the pairing was Sheldon and Frank Iero, MCR's rhythm guitarist. I am not joking.

I found a Makise Kurisu x Mikasa Ackerman fic. That's kind of random. At least the author has good taste in waifus.

It'd have to be a tie between Starkit's Prophecy (overpowered Mary-Sue with a stupid plot) on the Warrior Cats section, or a crackfic involving the crack pair, Dora the Explorer x Indiana Jones. I have no words to say and the only reason I ended up there was because I was watching an episode of the Fanfic Critic.

Egg laying is not that weird in my opinion. I once read a fanfic where Maleficent was paired with Diaval (the Maleficent from the new movie, where Diaval is human-ish) and laid eggs. Them both having wings, it made sense to me.

Male pregnancy is much more improbable, at least to someone who knows no biological reason why mostly human anatomy should prevent someone from laying eggs.

I don't know why I consider the fanfic in which female elves had genitals with tentacles the weirdest I have seen, as it is not as biologically impossible as Mpreg.

Improbable/impossible and weird are different concepts, though. They probably align, but not always.

Skimmed this and had the thought that Mpreg isn't impossible if one is dealing with transgender persons - I remember a news story about "the world's first pregnant man" and instead of it being a science-thing, the subject was a Female-to-Male who'd chosen to keep certain anatomical features untouched because his wife could not carry a pregnancy - eventually, they wanted a kid and did artificial insemination stuff.

How it typically goes in fanfic, though... with biological males lacking any kind of special features or Bizarre Alien Biology ... Yeah... that's weird to me. I used to like it in television shows when played for comedy (I distinctly remember an episode of The Cosby Show that featured it, but the men gave birth to things like cars and sandwiches because it was a dream), but now I don't even like it there because of the "fanfic way." I mean... I'm a woman and I'm kind of averse to "Woman-preg" since I'm an asexual who is scared to death of how I'd handle myself in that state - so it's less a "miracle" for me than something that "Why are you subjecting a character who is unequpped for this to this in a world where you can probably sci-fi baby in a tank or materialze a magic-conjure baby?"

The Hogwarts x Giant Squid fanfic. What the hell was the author on?

Four words (well, mashed into one, but still): Penguinsofmadagascarsex. (NSFW, by the way) This author (who seems to come from Kyrgyzstan) has written only two fanfics, both involve the Penguins of Madagascar and sex, and they are comedy gold.

For starters, this author has some of the worst grammar on Fanfiction.net. Seconds, there are incredibly NSFW, gratuitous, non-humanized sex scenes, all of which feature some ridiculous match-ups (for example, Mort/Skipper). For thirds, all the characters are OOC, to the point where the normally reckless, macho, commanding, conservative and war-loving Skipper is bottomed several times by Bada and Bing, Mort and King Julien, the latter one after losing a bet, while Mort, who is King Julien's most loyal servant, says "I hate you, you son of a bitch king". To complete it, this cake of ridiculousness is drenched in pure, unadulterated Narm. Seriously, one of this person's fanfics has Dr. Blowhole rape Skipper, destroying his self-worth and forcing him to commit suicide, and it is impossible to take seriously.

Just trust me on this, guys.

I just now discovered a fic wherein a wizard called Aruman the Red (apparently inspired by a movie wherein Saruman was depicted as wearing a red robe and got a name change) is on a quest to take revenge on the lecherous child molesters of fiction. And does so by assuming the form of the girls those men molest and ... well. Completely reasonable explanations of how those scenes in Game of Thrones and Aladdin are horrible alternate with completely infantile fiction that uses lots of fecal ... humour, though it is not really funny.

Definitely the weirdest thing I have ever seen. The story proper looks like written by a completely mad six-year-old, while the surrounding texts make perfect sense.

Probably meant to be a crackfic, but I don't really see why .. it would be more entertaining if the premise was taken a bit more seriously.

In other words: WTF did I just read?

I've ever seen? I've made one (albeit unfinished, but I won't even touch it) where the crossovers hit the ever-loving fan! It went everywhere. One word triggered a somewhat Reset Button, there was a talking cow, and the characters sometimes strayed off their usual stuff.

In regards to Mykan, his Liberty Kids fic where they battle some time-travelling supervillain who wants to flood the world with tsunamis (or something) is weird even for him.

But that's not the the weirdest thing I've read. No, that honor goes to "Azula went high arc", where Azula of Avatar: The Last Airbender gets the Fire Nation addicted to amphetamines (somehow ending the hundred year war in the process), makes her drug dealer Prime Minister, and then all Benders are replaced by robots which gives Aang depression. At least, that's what I got out of the description and first chapter; the thing was so badly written that one had to be on drugs to understand it. Possible troll fic, but a weird one at that
