Is there a trope for having a cannibal tribe elsewhere? I didn't find one. If others don't, this is probably where those examples will end up. A cannibal tribe at least was a somewhat common threat in cartoon jungle expeditions, I remember. Usually just about as stereotypical as exotic natives get.
I also found Cannibal Clan, which is easily confusable by name, but is somewhat different. Didn't check that for misuse, though.

Aside from Captured by Cannibals, I couldn't really find a page about cannibal tribes other than the one I'm currently talking about.

So I just came back from restoring indexing to several mistakenly-cut and restored works pages, including the one for the film Cannibal Holocaust. After going through and putting the indexing back on, I went ahead and did a little updating of the films linked to on the Video Nasties index. Since I noticed that a lot of those nasties were cannibal movies, I swung by the page Cannibal Tribe, thinking that it would be a page about cannibal tribes and the movies they appeared in.
Instead, I found that the page in question is basically about the infamous subgenre of horror films, and I had to clean up the trope list because the formatting was frankly awful, mixing in indexed tropes with the ones that were included back when the page was first created. I also had to clean up the description a bit for spelling and grammar, as well as some of the examples. In addition, there were about five examples that were not from cannibal flicks, which I think were added by people who thought that the page was about cannibal tribes and not the cannibal horror subgenre, and which I have tentatively split off into a "non-cannibal films" subsection. But quite frankly, something needs to be done.
I'm in favor of a rename for this trope, to better reflect that it's about the subgenre of horror movies involving cannibal tribes. At the same time, I also want to repurpose the name Cannibal Tribe to be about cannibal tribes, perhaps drawing influence from the trope page for Captured by Cannibals, which more fits my perception of what the trope was about.
