[up] Short Answer: Laziness.

Slightly Longer Answer: Since the Xbox One doesn't come with the Smart Glass by default (unlike the Gamepad), Ubisoft obviously didn't want to exclude any possible buyer who wants to play this, but don't have the Smart Glass feature. Same goes with the PS Vita.

As for Ubisoft's porting of this formerly exclusive Wii-U, I shook my head in disappointment and not because of any betrayal on their part (that's reserved for Rayman Legends). Rather because they took out the most unique feature, aspect, and point of the Zombi U experience: The Gamepad. Without that Gamepad, it'll be very hard if not impossible to replicate the same experience and high tension of the original and considering the numbers of zombie games out in the market, it also would have a extremely hard time distinguishing itself beyond a generic first-person zombie survival. It's even seen in the new title.

Zombi U: A somewhat generic yet strange name that is reminiscent of how Nintendo would name some of their games based on their platform, Mario 64, Super Mario Advance, New Super Mario Bros U, etc. Having the U associates it with the Wii U and Nintendo, which raises curiosity for some people as Nintendo is never known for M-rated or bloody zombie games, giving Zombi U a distinct and unique prominence in the market as far as third party games go.

Zombi: A rather generic name that is going to be released on Xbox One, PS 4, and PC. Considering the prevalence and saturation of M-rated titles and zombie games there are on (plus the rivaling games already on them such as The Last of Us or Dying Light), that's not going to stand out for many people as it sounds like a Brand X product in a cartoon show. And here's nothing really indicating it's a port of Zombi U other than the first part, which is vague enough for some to think it's a game adaptation of the Zombi film series. Might have gone with ZombiX or ZombiPS or ZombiPC. At least that follows that title structure of the original game.

[up] Sums up pretty much everything why I won't buy Zombi and will condemn anyone who buys it.

And here I was, considering buying it for PC (if there are mods, especially.)

@Raining Metal: why don't you just look away? You seems to be EXTREMELY hung up on the fact that this game is coming to other platform...

It's a state of hypocrisy. If this game sells well on other platforms it'll only demonstrate the bias in the industry. People didn't give Zombi U a chance, but they'll give the other versions one even though it might have the same gameplay factors and problems the original had.

[up]That doesn't make any sense.

Besides: If it were on Xbox or something originally, you wouldn't have given it a chance either. You talk about an anti-Nintendo bias (which you have magnified to martyr levels when it did not exist on a large scale before) when you have the largest bias of all.

Sure, I have a bias. Everyone does. But take a look at the industry nowadays. You still see plenty of ports to the Xbox 360 and PS 3 which can easily be done to the Wii U as well, but tough luck anyway.

You can't deny that third-party developers are giving the Wii U the shaft when there's the excuse of hardware differences is no longer relevant. You'd be angry too if third-parties treated you like a third-class citizen.

As I've said before, going where the easy money is =/= being an ebul anti-nintedo plot.

There are no 3rd parties gathering around thinking: "HOW CAN WE HURT NINTENTO TODAY?!" They're thinking: "How can we get the most money?" Remember: The Wii and the Gamecube irc got tons of 3rd party support, often from the same 3rd parties not on the Wii U now, because they sold well. They are not under and rational train of thought obligated to release to a console just because it exists.

And tbh I wouldn't be angry. Not even Nintendo is visibly angry about it.

@Raining Metal: Except that the people you have to blame is the people who own Wii U that aren't interested in the game...I don't own any consoles because none of them have enough exclusive games for me and most of the games that I'm interested on are either multiplat or PC-exclusive (that and I don't have a TV to plug console in), so the game coming to PC is actually a chance for me to actually play it. And people who aren't exactly interested in the game as you say most likely aren't interested because they don't own the console...

And really, the hardware disparity between the Wii U and the other consoles are still there, especially that the major devs are now starting to abandon the PS 3 And X360 in favor of developing purely for PS 4 and XB 1...there's also the fact that Nintendo does poorly on courting third party developers to work more with them...you're basically throwing the blame to everyone else and absolve Nintendo of any guilt even when Nintendo is also screwing up themselves.

Also true. Has the industry hypnotized us so much that people like us only buy Nintendo games? I gave Call of Duty and Zombi U on Wii U a chance. Others didn't.
