Snerk, I like it, but I guess something from a work might be more tropey
This needs a 'before' and 'after' shot from some game.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! The Current picture doesn't really do anything to illustrate the trope. I agree with the suggestion of a before and after picture from a game.
How's this?

That works.
I'm worried that that is partly One to Million to One.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Which makes it work for that page, seeing as it's picless...
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything., It's listed as an example on this page; I'll check if it's on that page.
EDIT: Nope, just this one. Then again, I know diddlysquat about Naruto so I dunno if it counts for that trope as well or not.

I'm the resident Narutard.
It's mostly an example of this trope and less the other.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerAs I recall, that's mostly because the slug is only summoned once in that fight. And regardless of whether she summons the same slug in another fight and it's put itself back together, it probably counts as an example. Asteroids Monster is about how something is treated in a given fight, not the details of its capabilities outside combat.
It's literally impossible for an image to show that the split creature is not going to recombine later. The slug works well enough.
Bump...anyone else?
Acceptable but not great. I would prefer some in-game screenshot of a monster before and after it splits, but I've been unable to GIS up something decent.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I like it.

Could something like this work?
Rhymes with "Protracted."
Maaaaaaaybe...I'd wanna see something indicating that the apex...thing...split into the heads underneath.
I think it works as-is.
Check out my fanfiction! So the small ones combine into something bigger and more advanced? Fascinating!
Check out my fanfiction! So the big one trails a bunch of little creatures behind it on ropes? Fascinating!
Do you really want arrows? That has the potential to get very busy.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I don't think that adding arrows by itself will make the image too busy, but it will depend upon how exactly it's performed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFair enough. This decent? It's a few minutes' work in Intaglio, so the arrows are lines with solid triangles. The fill and outline can be changed, naturally.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Nominations for replacement images:
Can we find something better? I know starfish are known for the ability to regenerate from clippings, but the current image strikes me as ... also unnecessarily phallic.
