... huh. Well I'm surprised he hasn't become more annoyed by networks by this point, because children's network NEVER like continuity! They usually try to make each episode episodic so they can rerun them in however order they want.
Well, I've always thought that if a major character is going to die, it's going to be Grunkle Stan. Given his backstory and the way the current story has been building I think it just makes the most sense. He values his family a lot and if anyone is going to make a heroic sacrifice for the twins it's going to be him. Besides, he's already enough of a tragic character.
I actually thought for awhile that Wendy might be the one to kick it, but after seeing that and just the fact that she's probably too insignificant at this point for it too be that much of an impact.

Honestly that's the reason I'm doubting Stanley is the one to die. For a man that's sacrificed everything for his family already, it doesn't take much in the way of character development for him to do so again. That's the reason I suspect Ford is the more likley of the Stan Twins to die, it would be the end of a far more satisfying character arc. Overall though I'm betting on Mc Gucket to be the one to die.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Betting on McGucket. And I think I'm spelling his name wrong.
My bet is on Big Henry.
Okay, okay. I don't know who it is, I have no idea. I don't think neither of the Pines Twins are going to die, though I could see one of them being trapped on the other sid of the portal without the other, or a similar fate. I'm not sure about Stan. I don't actually see him dying, but I can see why he would. Ford? Maybe, but we haven't seen much of the guy yet. Wendy? I don't think so. Soos? So far, I think he's the most likely. Although Mc Gucket is probably more likely than Soos.
Look, if anyone is really going to die, it would be Stanford, because he is a new character introduced late in the second season. Is there even a precedent for a main character known from the beginning to get killed off in a children's cartoon?
Umm, people, its probably the mayor
Since there is going to be episode of Stan running for election to be mayor
...Yeah, okay, that settles it.
I agree, but Alex said "at least one character". Maybe McGucket will die too.
Peace is the only battle worth waging.Yeah it could just be Alex trolling by hyping the audience up with Tonight, Someone Dies only for it to be a character so minor he only showed up once.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. What if none of the adults make it out alive?
Obviously the twins will (Or just Mabel if Dipper turns evil and doesn't turn back to being good) but really nobody else is 100% going to live.
Of course, it's Disney. They'd never let that happen.
Eh, seems like a little much anyway.
Oh God! Natural light!Soos will make it out. An AMA said that the original ending to Blendin's Game had Soos meet his future son. It was only changed at the boarding stage IIRC so it's very unlikely the Soos was planned to die.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I suppose everyone could die (or worse) in the "darkest timeline" before one or both of the twins goes back in time to fix things.
Either way, it's probable that Alex was just troll teasing the mayor kicking the bucket so Stan could run for mayor. I still say if any any major character is going to die it's going to be Stanley, with Standford having to essentially replace him in some fashion if only for the sake of the twins.
So I keep seeing a lot of fanart of the Reverse Pines with Dipper and Mabel Gleeful and I wonder where it started. Does anybody know?
I'd like to see Mabel go evil at least. Or maybe get taken over by Bill.
Babel...
At this point, I do think I'd rather see Evil!Mabel than Evil!Dipper too.
I guess it started rather early in fandom's life cycle because of how ubiquitous it is. As far as fan created A Us that are popular I think it's probably my second least favorite.

It gets a lot of fanart but otherwise little to no fanfiction. It seems mostly just an excuse to draw the twins dressed up as stage magicians.
Anyone Can Die is never used for a children's cartoon. If someone does die, it probably won't be one of the main protagonists.
Well it should be.
Gruncle Stan, your well-meaning dishonesty is unsustainable and may well cost you your family.
Mabel, you are a karaoke genius, and so is this show. It's great at making the horrific familiar and hilarious.
Gravity Falls: making the terrible terrific since TWENTY THIRTEEN, dood.
Is Jesús from Disgaea?
If the Pines are Jews, they aren't very observant at all...

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.We will very soon get major clues as to who's who on Bill's wheel.
Peace is the only battle worth waging.Watch the wheel actually turn out to mean nothing.
Well to be fair you rarely see characters be religiously observant on TV unless that is their character gimmick or the program itself is religiously themed.
Sholmer Shabbat! Partying on Friday night? Also, a pig for a pet? Also, showing romantic interest in boys without being restricted to the Nice Jewish Boy or a Jewish American Princess? What is the world coming to?

Alex Hirsch is on record as hating Status Quo Is God, to the point where the entire point of setting Dipper's hat on fire in the first episode was to cue the viewers in on the fact that change is possible. Discarding of Ford wouldn't really be his style.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.
