Re: Yomeiro Choice Chapter 1:

Jesus Christ in a handbasket, the first chapter is titled "Fuck to the Future"? I'm not even at the first real page and there's already a full-color, two-page spread with three girls (one of whom looks about 10) completely naked with the bare minimum amount of Censor Steam to cover their crotches. Breasts are completely exposed.

Update the first: The first real page has that same little girl stripping down in preparation for something. Several pages later, she crashes into ISO Standard Male Harem Character #4340 panties-first. Not doing itself any favors.

Update the second: A few pages after panties-first entrance, one of the older characters has an imagine spot in which she's very obviously preparing herself for sex. (Further details withheld for decency's sake) The only thing stopping it from looking like outright hentai is the fact that she's a Barbie down south. Up north, on the other hand, fully detailed.

Update the second: Now little girl, (who is allegedly #4340's daughter) is straddling him, her hand on his crotch, offering to teach him about women. If I suddenly stop posting without warning, will one of you dispatch an ambulance? That probably means (1) I'm in an alcoholic coma or (2) I was the victim of a bizzare indoor lightning strike and need immediate medical attention.

Update the third: More gratuitous nudity from both childhood friend and cousin. Chapter ends with arrival of another little girl. Goddamnitsomuch.

Reading through a couple chapters right now and, so far, I'm not liking what I'm seeing. I mean, the work opens up to blatant pedobait, for goodness sakes!

Yomeiro Choice is Shounen, just higher aimed. It and everything in its magazine, Champion Red, like Seikon No Qwaser and Franken Fran are aimed at high school boys. They even have furigana over the kanji like most Shounen and Shoujo.

Japanese Wikipedia lists the magazine as Seinen, but it also notes that the magazine advertises itself as Shounen, and is aimed at older teens.

Little girl #2 forcibly strips her alleged mother and shoves her alleged father's face direct into her breasts. It's like the author threw every godawful ecchi cliche into a blender, drank the mixture and vomited it onto the page.

Update the first: R-Rated imagine spot that would have been X-rated were it not for lack of detailed anatomy. At least there wasn't any fanservice from the little girls this chapter that I saw.

Oh for fuck's sake, a third little-girl-looking character (with the "excuse" of her being the same age as the protagonist)?

Update the first: Stupid fucking little girl #3 innocently (in-universe) exposes her panties to #4340. Excessive anatomical detail is used.

Update the second: Some sort of something is used on some noodles on someone's yakisoba bread. They turn into Naughty Tentacles. Then, little girl #3 starts to strip down, exposing her breasts and genitals to #4340. Fuck this, I'm ready to call things.

Oh, and as much as I dislike censorship, I'm just going to get this out there: Don't bother with reading Yomeiro Choice. I mean, yes each of the P5 should probably scan a random chapter, but I can say with surety that it fits TV Tropes' definition of pedo-pandering clearly.

Of all the series that have been reviewed so far which I know, this was among the forefront of the ones I expected to be cut for this reason. It would be ahead of the infamous Kodomo no Jikan if only that hadn't already been cut and thus brought to public attention before P5 even existed.

Re: Yomeiro Choice:

Verdict: Torch it, salt the earth

Pro:

• ...I got nothing, actually

Con:

• Depiction of implied penetrative sex (a naughty tentacle up cousin's panties)
• Pedobaiting from three different sources, including one of whom who explicitly strips down and tries to have sex with #4340 (the Younger Than They Look one)
• Explicit depiction of genitals (labia shown in relief under panties, which were from little girl #3 going back to previous bullet)

Yeah, no real argument here. Torch it for pedo-pandering and porn.

The "excuse" is that, strictly speaking, she's not a child.

When the page on the work said that it was the work of a hentai artist, I was already expecting something, at the very least, doing funambulism with the line of inappropriate content. But from what Goodrich says...

I'm in the same boat, though not related to that work since I haven't reviewed it quite yet. I imagine it's akin to a fast food employee not even wanting to think about eating a hamburger after a couple months on the job.

Really, these are some very strange teenagers that this thing is being marketed to if Kuro is correct.

If the same magazine has Franken Fran of all things, I think they probably cater to "extremes".

Go Nagai makes a lot of manga for the magazine, including the newest Devilman. That about says it all.

Also, Yomeiro Choice was originally in the spin-off magazine Champion Red Ichigo which is also aimed at older teens and seems to run a lot of their smuttier manga. Aki Sora also ran in it.

Whoever flagged Lucas Arts and Lady Chatterleys Lover needs to be hits real hard with a ban hammer. Especially if both were tagged by the same person.

I just zapped Lucas Arts. It was probably an attempted page type change. I wasn't sure about Lady Chatterly's Lover since the work page mentions graphic sex, so I'll leave the zapping (or not) of that to a P5 member more familiar with it.
