I believe tdgoodrich 1 would write an excellent factual review like he did for strike witches, if hes willing of course.

I'm working on watching a bit of the first episode to see what all goes on, to get a better idea of it. Though, I don't think South Park is comparable to a random, silly anime, even broadly.

Okay, I went to Crunchyroll to give it a try and see for myself, but:

"Sorry, due to licensing limitations, videos are unavailable in your region."

First Hulu, then You Tube, now Crunchyroll! (Do we have a shaking fist emoticon? I would like to use a shaking fist emoticon right now.)

Go to Anime Fushigi.

Really, nine minutes in I don't see anything explicitly cut-worthy (although, seeing "kinda-perverted" young'uns does make me wary, especially when there is talk of distracting said young'un with there supposedly being breasts outside), just really lame humor. Okay, yeah, like I said, not explicit (so far), just making me rather uncomfortable.

v No problem.

Thank you, I'll try that.

How long should it take a video there to load, on average?

Not long at all. A minute or two for half the episode, but then you can just click to other sections anyway.

Okay, yeah, the first episode with "Nipples" is simply a slightly uncomfortable bore. This show is lame, but I don't care to go past the first episode, still find it rather iffy though.

Hmm, I click on the play button, but it never goes beyond the little loading animation (the line circling around the play button in the middle of the screen).

Also, if I move my mouse to a certain part of the screen, I can see a "Stream not found, (internet url)" error.

Try refreshing, I guess? It is working just fine on my end, so I'm not sure.

I tried that too, but nothing.

Fine, I'll go look for an alternative way.

Like I said, it's potty humor. Hardly some great show.

But it is not trying to appeal to pedophiles. It's trying to appeal to lowbrow lowest common denominator humor.

This is probably the wrong thread since it hasn't been cut yet but... I agree that this isn't meant for people to fetishise the young girls at all.

Unlike what it could have done, Mitsudomoe (at least from what I've seen so far) doesn't imply that the girls are even interested in their teacher, or anyone really. There aren't any sexual situations (not unless you count the girls hiding under the teacher's desk). The humour is mostly in what people say (which admittedly can sound sexual).

If you read/watch this, it's obvious from the execution what the show is though. New Teacher + class apparently fed only red cordial + girl who uses precocious language - in general that is, not even directed at anyone.

And Mitsudomoe is a comedy. It uses all that for comic effect, and pretty much only that.

So I don't think this is cut-worthy. But if any of the P5 aren't sure because of what it says on the page, I suggest you watch/read it and see.

[up][up] Thank you! I'll go watch it now.

edit

Okay, just finished the first episode. How are the rest of the episodes (and the manga) compared to it?

Because if it's all like this, just cleaning up the page might be enough, and maybe lock it if the creepiness, uh, creeps in again.

edit2

And now I watched episode 2.

Just for clarification, the first episode is the Sentai series parody and the second one a Christmas episode, right?

Anyway, it doesn't get any, uh, worse than that, does it?

[down] I think I watched either the wrong episodes or the wrong season, then, because I didn't see anything about urine samples.

Ha ha, we keep edit ninja'ing each other.

I'm watching the ones from this list: http://www.watchanimeon.com/anime/mitsudomoe/

But it doesn't say that it's the second season, as far as I can see.

I just checked the list of episodes for the second season, and they're the same.

Looks like they repeated them on mistake for the season 1.

Pretty much the same.

The second episode was pretty stupid with a bunch of jokes about urine samples.

I guess there is the episode with the 6th grade pervert boy who tries to flip the girls skirts. He treated as a butt monkey though and always fails in a humiliating fashion. He's basically around to make fun of how stupid boys can be at that age.

There are jokes about the "Gachi Rangers" a ripoff of the Power Rangers, and how one of the girls is a fan but can never admit it because she's afraid others will make fun of her.

The teacher continues to be humiliated and tormented.

So on and so on.

You saw the episode, it's not trying to appeal to pedos, it's just Dumb And Dumber type humor. Like South Park, but without the keen libertarian wit that elevates South Park to satire.

[up] Edit after your edit: Sounds like you watched the 2nd season instead of the first.

Anyway, I'm, er, getting them elsewhere, but it might take days.

Oh, or maybe by the day after tomorrow.

[down] From the two episodes I watched (the first two of the second season), it's probably at least for adolescents and up. ...Unless I have a very wrong impression of Japanese television demographics, which might very well be the case.

It felt vaguely otaku-ish.

I'd say that if Mitsudemoe (sp?) is humor, the question should be a demographic one. As in, if it's mostly stupid Toilet Humor and Refuge in Vulgarity, what's the primary audience?

And I'd say the question shouldn't be the demographic one because that won't sway the case much one way or the other. A look at the material will tell you more.

In any case wikipedia says it's published by Akita Shoten a teen oriented publisher and it's Shounen.

It's kinda hard to be paedobait when it's a series aimed at kids.

By the way, does Training with Hinako have two devilheads because it's plotless crap like Eiken? So far as I can tell there's no sex or pedobait and the only nudity is a bathing scene.

Edit: Wait, there's some Hiyoko girl apparently. Disregard the no pedobait part of the above. A quick google image search shows that she does indeed look too young.

[up] Mitsudomoe. I'm trying to watch the anime to give an opinion, but the internet hasn't been very cooperative.

There are these two:

http://www.crunchyroll.com/mitsudomoe

http://www.animefushigi.com/anime/mitsudomoe

The first one won't play in my region, and the second one never loaded, but they might work for you.

This one

http://www.watchanimeon.com/anime/mitsudomoe/

did work for me, but it appears to have the wrong episodes listed; they're from the second season instead of the first one.

EDIT: Ah, sorry, I thought you were asking for links.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this, by the way.

Is Kichiku Megane a sure cut? I'm asking because I remember someone talking about it.

The panel seems to be judging BL stuff fairly harshly. I don't think anything has been cut yet, but the more explicit nature of VNs seems to imply this one won't pass. Lebrel, the only person around who actually seems to read BL, says it's pretty standard yaoi material.
