Easy to do with the description. That doesn't require mudslinging whatsoever.
We aren't supposed to put negativity on the tropes or works. It's not an option.

Quest 64 thread@Octo: We are documentors or reporters of tropes that happen in fiction. We are supposed to be as neutral as possible. We can criticize those works that use those "morally wrong" tropes in Reviews, forums, or outside of the wiki. But, our job is to provide the information with as much neutrality as possible and allow others to make their own judgements on information given.

Always looking for a good MMORPG with a great community...We aren't doing anything of that at all, Octo.
Really. "Opinions". Hah. Condemning rape shouldn't be an "opinion", but common human decency.
Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken. Unrelated ME1 FanficBitter LOL if Google ends up blocking us after all no matter what we do now...
Sure, because everyone who uses the forums should pay for what a few say.

Everyone here should know that rape isn't OK, and those who don't won't change their mind if we say it explicitly, methinks.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPeople say I am far on the "Not be a prude thing" but still a lot of these can be reworked by a lot IMO.
This.
Come on do not say that I do not want to lose the Forums.... This is the only forums I go to anymore everywhere else sucks.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I don't think we need to continuing arguing about this with Octo until it becomes clear that out current methods are not enough. I do not believe he is going to change his mind and an argument over the matter is simply going to take us into non productive areas. Again, would it be acceptable to move the rename topic to Special Efforts? We've done similar things in the past such as with Badass.
Exactly, the whole point is "be as neutral as possible" and it's been that way since forever. The disclaimers are simply to ensure that people don't get the idea that we're endorsing questionable material.
Not that I'd lose a moment of sleep if we upgraded to a "rape is bad" banner, but I just don't think it's necessary.
I'd say go for it. And it'll bring the matter to the attention of people who actually have the time and willpower to get it done.

Reaction Image RepositoryIf we want the Ads Google's rules beat our rules.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Out of curiosity Octo, would you be opposed to rewriting the trope descriptions and trimming/cutting examples?
One Piece blog Beyond the Lampshade"Common decency" is not the purpose of documentation whatsoever. That's not being neutral and is still against the site's mission. So no, not an option to use. Unless we're talking about acting like by not describing terrible stuff.(in detail, that is)
The only thing that has a huge chance of being cut is the forums. And the site doesn't need them either. I would hate to see it go, but people can find other places to talk or roleplay. It's not really a high priority here.(and I agree with that)
Quest 64 threadGoogle bans explicit material. They said nothing about documentations of reprehensible acts in fiction.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerMoving the rename topic to Special Efforts definitely sounds like a good idea.
Then why are we arguing in this thread about it, as opposed to the one specifically about that sort of thing?

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Alright then. Considering that Octo will not be convinced let's move onto the matters of the plan proposed. Should I start a thread in Special Efforts for renaming and revising (the descriptions and examples) tropes in the Porn Tropes, Sex Tropes, and Rape Tropes indexes?
Always looking for a good MMORPG with a great community...The wiki didn't always "No negativity" as a rule. Introducing it was a change of rules. And in fact one that left many people very angry. So those rules can be changed again. Wouldn't even need to be wiki-wide. Just for the "terrible tropes". Don't treat rules here as if they were immutable commands by the gods! As I've said, even "no negativity" once was introduced!
Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken. Unrelated ME1 FanficMoving the one project then. One moment.
Because someone derailed.
Back on topic. Real life is clean. Let's see what else can be done.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI will create the thread.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Alright, once it's completed. Please link to here so we can start the long process.
And my goodness! This thread has exploded in the past hour or so.
