Depends, usually on how much it makes.
@647: I never tried the original Cosmic Break, mostly because I heard it was massively pay-to-win. Is there any sign that this one will be any different in that regard?
Join my forum game! They replied with rather ambiguous terms when asked about it in the Kickstarter (which has failed)

Son of Nor has launched!
Izle is a 3D procedural sandbox action-adventure RPG developed by Area Effect, an independent studio in Paris founded by Ubisoft veterans.
Rebuild a ruined world. Gather and use Shards of Light to either repel the Shadows or create new artifacts of Light to defend against them yourself. Terraform new islands to explore. Search for new items to define your own play style. You have the powers and freedom of the gods, as well as the consequences and responsibilities that come with them.
Every choice you make can either save Izle... or lead to its destruction by the Shadows' hand. Die, and they get stronger. Fail, and they ruin everything you've worked for. Accept Izle's fate, and you become one of them, a Shadowman— stronger and faster than you were before, but at the cost of watching your world crumble into nothing.
Will you follow the Light? Or will you give in to the darkness?
Also, reposting Descent: Underground because it has yet to be funded ($408,207 out of $600,000). Send some cash its way if you can— with less than three days left, it certainly needs it.

Night Terrors, a horror ARG played on your phone in your home.
The tech looks impressive. If they can deliver...
Yooka-Laylee, a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/playtonic/yooka-laylee-a-3d-platformer-rare-vival
They set a kickstarter goal of £175,000 (~$260,000). It was met in 40 MINUTES. As of this posting, it has about £716,000 (~$1,084,000) pledged. It's only been live for about 7 hours. This is great!

How many kickstarted games actually make it to market? I know FTL did, but what else is there?
Famous last words of many a kerbal: MOAR BOOSTERS!!!Turns out Kickstarter actually has a page for this: https://www.kickstarter.com/play
Some of these are misleading (a bunch are still on Early Access) or outright false (Dysfunctional Systems is listed and linked to the first game even though the project was to fund sequels which ended up being cancelled!)
Solar Crusaders, "a multiplayer strategy game featuring an open world sandbox, real-time battles, and simulated game economy."
Starfall Tactics has hit Kickstarter.

Combat Core is back for a second round on Kickstarter! The 4-player arena fighter takes inspiration from such games as the Power Stone series and Custom Robo.
Fight in interactive arenas you can use against your opponents! Play as eight original characters or create your own! Use a variety of weapon pickups to take your foes down! Equip your characters with the titular Combat Cores to boost their stats and use devastating special attacks!
The game also supports Oculus Rift so you can immerse yourself in the chaos!

7 days left on Night Terrors, and less than half funded... It does not look promising for this project. Which is a shame because it's a fascinating idea. I just wish they had something approaching a tech demo in the videos instead of "look at all the neat lines that we swear are the phone mapping the room".
Hah! Better late than never, I suppose..
That really does seem quite spooky.
We Happy Few: A sixtiesesque psychedelic roguelike stealth game where you have to escape a town that looks like the mutated offspring of The Happiness Patrol, Brave New World and The Prisoner.

Through the Woods — A 3rd-person horror game of a mother seeking her son in a Norwegian Forest. 5 days left, pimped by the Among the Sleep people.
This is a big one: Shenmue 3 could live on after all, as long as you give Yu Suzuki and co $2 million. Judging by the fact that this page is getting absolutely FLOODED by people trying to access it, it appears they really want to see it happen.

Even though some have derided it on other sites, I think it's huge that Sony plugged kickstarter at E3. I think this is the first time a big company has straight up acknowledged it, especially on as big of platform as E3. This is huge for the Mid-tier games that can't get greenlit.
Mooncrest apparently former bioware dev project with two female leads and stuff
I rather like the look of Foxtail - it really does remind me a fair bit of old point-and-click adventure games, moreso than some recent attempts. Although, it's still kind of vague as to what the conflict driving the plot actually is (beyond "fox girl is traveling to her grandmother's and things happen", anyway), and it only seems to have raised a tenth of what it actually needs...
Moon◊Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs - The Video Game
Love the show when i was a kid. I hope the team behind this game will reach their Kickstarter goals, especially the one where they will get Peter Cullen to voice the game.
Another Survival Horror game, Allison Road.
It'll be supporting VR as well.

So, anyone remember ToeJam & Earl?
Well, they're coming back to their roots in (appropriately enough) Toejam and Earl: Back in the Groove!
Bad news is they kinda already finished getting funds.
But the good news is that it's already funded and already met some of its stretch goals!
Just don't expect it on PS 4, Xbox One, or Wii U anytime soon.
Actually, can we ask questions here?
If a project's stretch goals include gaming consoles like what I just mentioned but don't reach those goals, does that necesarily kill the chance that the project will show up in home consoles in, say, a year or two after it's been on PC, Mac, and Linux?
