Poor Image: Monster Clown

Someone changed the image of Monster Clown from to

What am I even looking at in the second one? I'm not seeing a Clown just an overly obese Blue Meanie reject.

Much, much prefer the original.

Yeah, that image change wasn't even brought up on this forum. I'd say revert to original.

If/when it goes back up, it needs potholing to Webcomic.Gunnerkrigg Court.

I'll flip it back.

EDIT: Done, with a "please don't change without IP discussion" edit reason. Let's watch for a day or two and see if it gets changed back.

If we're taking new images, we could try this one, but if not the old image works just fine.

Pretty weak on "clown"

As reiterated, current pic seems fine. But if a change is indeed in need, why not just go with the most iconic of Monster Clowns, Pennywise? [1]◊

I like that more than the current image.

Oh man, that's a good one...and as much as I don't want to take away a link to Gunnerkrigg Court, I think I'd lean toward Pennywise.

They both seem similarly monstrous to me.

The Gunnerkrigg one could be improved with a wider shot of him with the saw, though.

Why not consider using the foulest of all examples of this trope? I'm of course talking about Sweet Tooth. Here's two pics. Hope they're monstrous enough.

Personally, I like Pennywise or the GC clown better than those...good for Image Links, though.

Pennywise and Sweet Tooth (second image) are looking great.

Crowner, or another example or two?

Does anyone have the font GC uses on their computer, and if so, would a translated version of that panel be better? We could also, if that image is used, do something in the caption about him wanting Paz's eyes. I think it works untranslated, though.

I like it as is, too.

Sweet Tooth #2 is good too. I'm not impressed with #1's quality.

Is it just me, or does reducing them in size inevitably make GC pictures darker? Also, Wilbyr your version has artifacting.

I would not alter the actual image with translated text, but you can just put it in the caption. "Won't you give them to me?" could be a hottip.

Seems we have 3 potential votes for Sweet Tooth (second picture, myself included). Boys and girls, Sweet Tooth is also a Complete Monster Serial Killer who has wonderful dreams about all of his greatest achivements (including slaughtering an entire super market).

"How does the image look?" is more important than "How good is the example?" Pennywise is pretty monstrous, anyway, and the GC clown has a rusty handsaw.
