[up][up] And may I suggest this... oh wait...

Either you get the joke or you don't...

Anyway, go to "edit my forum profile" and upload an image. It has to be properly sized first, though, and not larger than a certain filesize or the uploader will reject it.

Two offhand account/incidents, with one not being played seriously doesn't mean that is the designated canon of that regard.

They do when the second was an obvious reference to the first.

On the other hand, Ben 10 has annoyingly played it loose with canon, even in its first season (did they ever explain that episode where Ben somehow goes back in time and he *doesn't* end up with the omnitrix? Not even by saying "it was all a dream?")

In any case, the humans-are-good-only-for-eating thing was just a background fact that never affected the series, but just its inclusion annoyed me. I mean really? In a kid's show? I just want it never used again (which most likely they won't.) Just saying.

Is Stinkfly still Ben's best choice to carry other people over long distances? I don't think Jetray is big enough.

[up][up][up]Im pretty sure the good eats thing was just a joke and the real power of humans is making hybrids. But they can't just come out and say "hey humans are extra fuckable and can make hybrid babies"

[up][up][up][up] Word of God said that was an ulternate universe or something.

One where Ben did originally have the omnitrix but his self consouse and memories somehow went into his past self (this part isn't explained on how it happened but it did). Even though Ben already knew where the omnitrix was Gwen had went of into the woods earlier (I don't believe it explained why she did so) and ended up finding it before Ben.

[up] Considering it's not cannon I tend to ignore, then again I barely consider anything that happened in AF and UA to be cannon either due to all the plot holes, aborted arcs, unrelatable character writing, faffing around, and horrible attempts at romance.

Infact the romances were so horribly written that I ended up letting my mind wonder and came to the conclusion that Ben and Kevin are gay (or bi) for eachother, are using Gwen and Julie as beards, and niether of them have the fucking balls to admit it because society is a giant ass dick that will inevitablly tear them a new one due to it's own stupitidy. And unless the romances are better written (even if the romance rears it's ugly head for only one episode in omniverse) this will remain my opinion.

My predictionidea is that Omniverse won't be able to royally fuck up the series as much as the last two continuity snarl filled instalments did and will fix many things, however will leave many unanswered questions and leave us feeling somewhat hallow inside.

Similar to how I feel now actually since Young Justice is on Hiatus (AGAIN!) and A:Lo K first season is finished I now don't have any shows that actually have a plot! Meaning now I don't have any badassery in my life and will have to live off of Infamous and Dragon Age Origin walkthroughs until I get my hands on Watchmen. sad

[up]Watch Gravity Falls on Disney.

Im in part of the small minority that actually liked AF and UA. But Im intereted in this series of the amazing transforming apple. Just sucks that his cousin and their pet caveman went away.

About whole eating humans and human powers: 1) We're not alone on that. Anyone remember prince Tiffin from Rath episode. That big red guy was ate him ONSCREEN. 2)Not all aliens have superpowers or at least obvious ones: 66 and 77 have only extra arms, Vulkanus has only great immunity to heat, prisoners from Incarcecon in original animated movies couldt beat 2 10-years olds, Tack can only strech his neck, Magister Labrid from first episode of AF had only one power: inability to survive on our planet without suit. I could go on.

1) That's supposed to make it better?

2) Many of those *definitely* count as super powers. Now, not every alien in the show demonstrated powers, but the general attitude was, "humans suck" (made worse by the "they are only good for eating" thing.) (Even the crossbreeding thing -another repulsive idea if you ask me- could be a common ability, its just that humans seem more willing to do it. Sheesh!)

(did they ever explain that episode where Ben somehow goes back in time and he *doesn't* end up with the omnitrix? Not even by saying "it was all a dream?")

It was explained at the start and end of the episode via Twilight Zone narration that this was a "What If?" story.

Also, to those species it isn't a super power. The conditions of their planet led to an evolutionary path for their species. I mean, if the Pyroknites are living beings of fire, they most likely live on a planet with a hot temperature or a sun of sorts and with everyone having the same ability they wouldn't be that special among themselves. But they would be far more vulnerable to water/ice then humans.

These species may have abilities humans wouldn't, but certain elements that has an average chance of death to us would most likely be highly lethal to them.

[up][up]I know that. Except it doesn't work that way, because Ben remembered having had The Omnitrix. Why they couldn't just make it a typical time travel story -or even just a dream- confuses me.

[up]If we take that POV, then none of the aliens have superpowers, since their abilities are natural to them. But I think most of us will agree that its what they can do that we can't that counts here. The reverse doesn't work, because there seems to be *nothing* that humans do that any other species can't do just as well, if not better.

A Piscciss Volann cannot stand dessication as well as a human, a Vulpimancer cannot sense electromagnetic radiation at all while humans can, even if it is only a tiny portion of the spectrum and an Amperi couldn't even take a bath.

Again, from a human POV, lack of a weakness is NOT a superpower. By that thinking, EVERY race in the universe would have lots of powers!

I don't even understand the point of the argument. It seems really one sided and kinda dumb thing to argue about.

Yes about 90% of the aliens have powers. Yes their are some spiecies that think human's are tasty. Yes human's are kinda "useless" unless you take count on the whole being able to have babies with almost every alien out there, including one made of PURE ENERGY. When you look at it that way humans could potentially have almost/all the powers in the universe if Alien/Human marriage/mating became more promoenite.

Also if you count earthlings as a whole there are a lot of aliens in under ground towns that would count as part of the populace.

Then there's the whole thing about The Secret Saturdays aparently being apart of the Ben 10-verse, so we could add cryptids into the list of....stuff.

What argument? Its *the show* that considers the alien abilities superpowers, not me. And its *the show* that keeps making humans look like the chumps of the galaxy (with the 'tasty' joke being part of it I guess.) It doesn't ruin the series (or I wouldn't have watched it) I just don't personally like it (everyone else is free to disagree if they want, of course.)

Yes because its terrible to portray humans as they're in real life.

[up][up]Being able to shoot fire bolts may be a normal thing for certain alien species but that's unique on earth where no other species can do that. A lot of alien abilities would be mundane to the species that are actually from the planet and really it depends on how they use their abilities as was pointed in the episode that introduced Tetrax in Ben 10.

Aliens like Six-Six doesn't have any powers but he compensates by using technology, VILGAX doesn't have any superpowers and any that he gained was by getting upgrade surgeries, the Magister in the first AF episode couldn't even survive in the earth's atmosphere and Way Big's abilities is just being big that's disadvantageous to anyone not around his size.

Furthermore, if you are so concerned about humans being chumps remember that this is a world that also has MAGIC (or Mana or whatever) so there are people like Gwen, Hex and Charmacaster who can and have fought Aliens in the past. There are also Badass Normal's like Maxwell Tennyson who took down Vilgax at one point by sticking him to a Nuclear Missile with NO powers at all. So the series ITSELF contradicts your 'humans are weak chumps' arguments and really, are you going to use some off-hand comment made by some Alien red neck/grunt to support your whole argument.
