At least I hope his Kickstarter goes well (conveniently my sig has the link to it )
So, does anyone know what's the episode after the Muckman one?

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).I don't think it's been announced yet.
You know what I want to see the most from this show? Some closure on Timothy (Mutagen Man). He's basically been forgotten at this point, especially with all times that a cure was made (which Donny thought was more important for Splinter, who doesn't really need it, than Timothy).
Arc Fatigue at it's worst IMO.

Same. It's been a common complaint that they're introducing a bunch of mutants and they never really follow up on them or use them to their fullest potential.
Dr. Rockwell's inclusion in the Mutanimals episodes does give me hope that will no longer be the case.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).I think it's more Aborted Arc at this point.
Yeah, found it odd that he wasn't shown when Donnie returned to his lab.
By the way, I saw the new trailer again and during the mind control segment, in addition to Raph, I think I also caught a glimpse of the Mutanimals, particularly Rockwell.
Muckman episode was wonderful. Hilarious jokes throughout, lampshading a lot of the sillier aspects of this and past turtles series, highly entertaining Bebop and Rocksteady interactions, and of course MUCKMAN.
Ultimately they went with a design much closer to the 80's version than either the concept sketches or action figure prototype; all they really changed was an addition of more guts, taking advantage of what they can now get away with.
Joe Eyeball was basically Medama Oyaji, right down to the squeaky voice and living in the left eye socket.
The story turns out basically just like the 80's episode, with Muckman now proud to be a "freaky" mutant hero, but adds a new dynamic to the show, now that there's a mutant hero known to the local media, but the turtles are back to being a secret.
I really hope they won't forget all about Muckman, even if we only see him once or twice a season.
The next episode is another Mutanimals one, so it does feel like the show has stopped pushing new characters completely into the background.
Also, every time we see Baxter, even in these little glimpses, he's working on more mysterious stuff of his own. He had up some weird chart of something shaped a lot like his old robot suit, but with his fly head on it...I think?
bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.Huh, I missed it coming back.
It's been 3000 years…Is grounding them even really an option when they're in the middle of a war, where one of the stakes is his daughter's mind and soul? Plus, it's not like they were doing some extreme sport and got glimpsed by some random dude with a cellphone. A hyper-aggressive stereotype-embracing reporter hunted them while looking for someone else.
Also, could we stop with the 'villains shrug, move forward, Turtles lose' scenes? I thought we ditched that in the forest quest.
Haven't finished it but I noticed three things when starting.
- The cleaning dude is the same one that got attacked by the Squirrelanoids and Fungi. Huh.
- Muckman makes me think of The Toxic Avenger, despite me never having seen the film. Being referred to as a "Monster Hero" was a cute touch too.
- Okay, I lied, I noticed two things. I just like threes.

At one point Raph says "Is that guy talking to his eyeball?". At the same time, I noticed no one ever reacted to anything Joe said.
It makes me wonder if Joe was communicating with Muckman by psychic means.
Or maybe Joe isn't really sentient and it was all in Muckman's head, like Human Ton and Handy from the Tick or Scarface and the Ventriloquist from Batman.
Well, there's another life ruined by mutagen. And this guy got it bad. People often say how the mutants are freaks, but this is the first guy I've ever seen who is so ugly that it's actually hard to look at him. Although, props to the citizens of New York for not letting his gross, disgusting appearance, and his gaping hole in the middle of his stomach that lets you see part of his spine and various bits of his digestive tract, seriously eww, stop them from giving him praise.
In the 1980's turtles show the foursome once went on national television like it was no big deal. In this series they get caught in one photo where they're almost completely obscured by smoke and Splinter drops the hammer on them. Now, which show puts more emphasis on the turtles actually being stealthy?
Even without blood, this show is still pretty f*cking graphic in terms of Body Horror.
This weeks episode can't come soon enough.
I'm just going to assume that Pulverizer was cured sometime between "Casey Jones vs The Underworld" and "The Noxious Avenger".
Ah, a Noodle Incident. Though a mention would be nice.

Aw, I was hoping mind controlled Raph would be a story arc of some kind.
Although the Shellraiser is back, yay.

Yeah, not nearly as dramatic as everyone on other sites (and myself) wanted it to be. Felt kinda rushed actually.
For a show that has displayed sooooo much Body Horror I was actually relieved when they cut a way from the worms BURROWING INTO PEOPLE'S SKULLS. Also, does Baxter have a second mouth in the middle of his forehead? The hell is that thing?
I know, I couldn't stop looking and noticing the thing once I first noticed it. I was more freaked out by his close-ups than the worms.
A real fly has the same pit in the middle of its face, though it's shallower, and houses the antennae, which are what it smells with. It's very clear in this photo:
here◊
Being half human, Baxter's sensory pit merged with his human nose into a giant sinus cavity.
I geeked out pretty hard when I first noticed, along with how Baxter's human mouth became the socket into which a fly's proboscis can retract. They did so much homework for that design. I gee

bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.Ya know, I wonder if Baxter's fly DNA has impacted his lifespan. Flies only live a couple months. It's been shown in comics the Turtles are long lived, so why wouldn't his longevity be impacted similarly? It probably would be anti-climactic for Shredder to find him upside down, dried up in the corner of a window one episode.
Maybe that's why Finbar Shrugman is possibly making himself a robot body?

That's actually kind of brilliant.
I have another WMG, which is that the one who owns Stockman Industries is Barney Stockman rather than Baxter Stockman, mostly due to the 80s series influence in this show and it would close up that particularly nasty gap in the story.
