Yup. I think that if we're doing examples, they should be ones that closely correspond to reality. Not everyone is capable of extrapolating a realistic example from an over-the-top one, sadly.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.I watched This Film Is Not Yet Rated one or two years ago, which I didn't quite understand because I'm neither an American, a filmgoer, or an American filmgoer. Obviously people can disagree, but it's interesting—they discussed the "why is this racy that is not" arguments and one of the points raised by someone they interviewed was: a woman making an expression that implies sexual pleasure is considered very risque. Even if she's dressed like a priestess.
And, looking at the Clothing Damage detour and the Naughty Tentacles thread, seems it's kind of true, don't you think.
EDIT: argh someone said it earlier why did this happen why

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.@Martello I just don't care anymore. I've forgotten how and for what I was even arguing, and I'm doomed to failure anyway so I don't see the point in an effort to remember. It's not a big deal anyway.
@Ccoa - my example was actually pretty close to a number of bad ones I've seen around here, and maybe less lewd than some. Yours is still probably better, but I'm just sayin'.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler. No reason we can't have multiple examples, actually. I haven't run into anything quite that bad, but it really wouldn't surprise me to learn that it's out there.
I could probably go into a whole rant about how ridiculously sexist and prudish it is that women enjoying sex or things that are sexy is racy, but that would probably derail the thread.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanExample As Thesis is when you put a hypothetical example first, and then maybe explain what's going on.
I think that adding examples of what a lewd example might look like would help understanding of it, since it doesn't seem to be sinking in. But I'm just one person here. ^_^

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerRemoval of anything to which "hubba hubba" or "I'll be in my bunk"could be comfortably appended will pretty much never be wrong.
The child is father to the man —OedipusI added a line about how pages can have Not Safe for Work subjects, but that shouldn't allow the writing in those pages to be lewd. Although I hope someone can write the line better than I did.
Also, I think a good standard should be: Keep it PG-13 at most, but if a work is G, write about it in a G-rated manner.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. What about the Crap Past the Radar pages?
Good point. If the radar content is PG-13, then it should be okay.

Are you trying to point out something specifically? Don't know about anyone else, but I certainly can't be bothered to search through such a large page for content I likely won't find offensive anyway.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.I loved that show! The page gave me good memories?
I didn't know how to link to the Radar page. -shrugs- Anyway, I guess we'll do it as a case by case basis.
Here you go. And boy is it a doozy.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Kinda the same problem. Which examples do you find to be lewd? I only looked at the first third or so of the page and didn't see anything problematic.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.I think that for Radar pages we should kill on sight anything that's reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaally obviously wishful thinking. The idea behind the Trope is that it's deliberate.
e: also, anything that's obviously not going "under the radar."

"Roll for whores."- giggles* chokey chicken! The example about the pubic hair toast seems to be reaching though.
Pubic hair toast? I couldn't find that on the page anywhere.
"Roll for whores."2nd to last:
One episode, "Love Spanked," has Rocko spotting his love interest Melba Toast and his heart pumps back and forth from his chest to his butt. Look carefully when it reaches his butt: it resembles a nut sack and it's got hair on it. Don't believe me? Look at this. Also, in the same episode is seen a brief clip of Rocko and a sheep when he's searching for dates. And they also mention fetishes directly in the episode. No innuendo or anything, just a direct reference.
Ok, I got the whole thing mixed up, but I still think it's reaching.
I think that the bolded parts there are the most problematic items, right?
