My proposed standard is: no new YMMV, Darth Wiki, or audience reaction articles that are designed to document negative opinions. We have enough of them.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Even if we were to create them, I would have them exampleless.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerBasically, if it's
- YMMV (or Darth Wiki-level)
- is mostly about (negative) reception and
- cannot be repurposed to be something else than about negative reception,
it should be discarded (or cut if it's already launched)?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanJust for Fun darth wiki pages are still okay?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.^I hope so.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPresumably Grandfather Clause applies.
Rhymes with "Protracted."More gushing pages probably aren't necessary either, though those aren't such a big problem considering people have a natural tendency to complain.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Just to play Devil's Advocate for a moment, I'd like to remind everyone that you're currently Complaining About Complaining.
That said, I do agree with the general sentiment that we don't need more complaint pages. That's not what this wiki's about. Don't really have any suggestions for this that haven't already been offered up, though.
"I'm pregnant, and I'm losing my mind."Just to make sure; I'm allowed to nuke this kind of thing, right?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI suggest yes.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt looks much like a complainy form of Informed Obscenity.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanTo me it reads like "bitch about changes you didn't like/get the point of".
It basically has a "enter 4Kids RAEG rant" label on it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThat was awful. Thank God it's been discarded.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Hm, it appears to be a duplicate of Never Live It Down, with just a smidge of ComplainingAboutAdaptationsYouDontLike. Not something we really need, to be honest.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. And it has a Bad Trope Namer.
By the way, this thread is getting a lot of requests. Should we make a dedicated Complaining cleanup thread for all the wiki, YKTTW and articles?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman"Purging bitching thread"?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerSure. We might as well make one for pointless gushing; while it's not as big a problem as pointless complaining, it's still something we don't need.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. There IS already one for gushing - I've linked it in the What Goes Where In The Forums thread.
I think we just need to find a name for a complaining cleanup thread and then pin it in Special Efforts.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe made gushing cleanup before bitching cleanup? Seems odd.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThere is a bitching cleanup thread for Headscratchers pages, The Great Headscratchers Complaining Cleanup. However, a wider name and a more fleshed out OP would be necessary for a more general thread.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBump. Any opinions on making a dedicated complaining cleanup thread in Special Efforts?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI support it.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.
^Most things are not that obvious. These are the problem - YKTTW where the complaining aspect isn't spelled out so clearly*
So, we need a gauge.
